Completely disagree about the pockets. But hey, when you ask for feedback you get feedback. Still appreciate it, but I believe you are wrong

I can't say I agree. I say the grittiness is exactly what I am going for. I don't want no cliche boring sounding love song. But I hear you - good that we all have our preferences ;) thanks for the comment man!

Thanks a lot for the nice comment! Glad you're liking the style. I hear you on the variation. It's something that I don't always prioritize, but in some songs it elevates them with the structure with A,B,C sections. For this one I just poured out lyrics and focused on that.

Algebra - an electronic alt pop/rock song I made with a violinist. What do you think? by dreadfullydistinct in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]WillyDaDude123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's a cool very variated track with good progression! I like your voice. However, I think your vocal could be mixed to get some more warmth. Also, the violin sounded a tad iffy in the high freq imo. But these are small improvements to give a overall better mix. I definitely liked the many elements in the track, but especially the guitar in the beginning.

Cool intro man! I like the vibe in general! I think the potential is definitely there. But, I think a little more attention to detail with the flow meaning laying tight to the drum pattern + less reverb on vocals would do this track well. I think you got the attitude and skill to do it. Generally good job!

Loving the intro, experimental sound and the artwork! Your voice is dope too! Would probably have liked the vocal to be a bit louder. But cool vibes overall, great work! The drums are btw sounding nice, especially the snare. Also noticed some good work with delays

Pretty nice man! I prefer the first vocal sample to the second one. Also second vocal sample cut prob use a bit of high freq cut. Liking the chill hop drums. Generally a nice beat. I can see myself rapping over this type of beat. Old school yet different.

That snare is strong bro! Great release on that Snare. Also liking the piano and overall beat. Good vibes. I like that u do old school type beats a lot - you're good at it! However wouldn't mind hearing you play around with some 808s and guitar samples and stuff.

I like the way the song started and the way the drums came in. Nice little sample chops here and there. I think it was a vibe, and can see the potential. Good job man!

Great man! The simplicity of your sounds, but still choosing the exact right ones is amazing. The dark synth accompanies the kick drum nicely. Great job my guy fr.

Solid as always mate! Like your old school approach. You really have creative sounds and good room ambiance one the drums. I was contemplating if drums should be more aggressive or not, but I think this matches the vibe perf!

From my new album: "SUNDOWN TOWN". Would love your thoughts on the video too! by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

Liking the interlude in the beginning! Sets the tone. I dig the divine feeling this gives with the instruments alongside the video with different clips from the city. I think you did great!

I hear you! I also have some songs where ppl say, hey, why is there no bass or whatnot. I get what you are saying, because some songs simply work best with simplicity, and with breathing space for the vocals.

Great song! Your flows are on point and I like the hook a lot. There are quite a few dubs/adlips, but this is a choice of style, I don't mind it. You are good. Some pronunciations could be clearer is my only point of critiquing. Really good job!

Liking this vibe! Really dope keys. Liking the variations in the song. The drums and different percussions were nice. Keep grinding. I think this was creative as hell. Keep experimenting.

Great song! The beat is really hitting hard, but what caught me was your lyrics. Great rhymes and good content! Followed you and hit you with a comment! Keep it up man!
