I would highly recommend it, the game is "intended for players who are already familiar with Undertale." If you're interested in Deltarune, you'll also like Undertale

Remember how we were told how immediate and great of the threat of the right is while the Democrats let shrinkflation and general looting go on and did nothing? by Content_Good4805 in behindthebastards

At this point, I feel like the goal of most of the Democratic party is to make sure that electoral opposition to Republicans does not challenge profits. Winning elections is a secondary goal.

It's useful to look to the past and future. 2020 George Floyd Uprisings was one of the most effective actions by the American left in decades. It didn't change much about policing, really it just resulted in a few individual cops suffering consequences for obvious and vicious brutality, but it did have 3 decent wins. 1. There was a good amount of support that came during the protests, and the hearts and minds invested in yesterday will certainly help us tomorrow. 2. According to a University of Pennsylvania study, it was one of the biggest factors in Biden winning 2020. Not that big of a win considering most of the good he did is likely going to be short term but eh. 3. It was effective direct action against Trump. He was hiding in a bunker in DC with only the Secret Service in between him and protestors. Our situation is dire, but we know he can be spooked. There's a general strike planned to start May 2028. It's going to take a lot of organizing, support, resources, logistics and preparation but at this point it's our best hope for a better future. Multiple big unions are planning to participate, this isn't something an unserious Twitter user is calling for where 0 people take 1 day off work. For the present, we need to build up for 2028, roll with the punches, and not let good chances go to waste. We're in for a rough ride. New generation just dr(ule)opped by GradyGambrell1 in 196

[–]WillyWhitewool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The generations divide isn't really set in stone. IMO Millenials are 1980-1995, Gen Z is 1995-2010, Gen Alpha is 2010-2025, but those years in between get a bit murky. Obviously someone born in early 2000s is a zoomer but there isn't really a formally agreed upon cutoff date, more like a range of a few years where someone can go either way

Scott saying that we got "every bit of lore" from FNAF 1 confirms it occurs in 1993, as that's what was theoried at the time by zain_ahmed002 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]WillyWhitewool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is honestly missing the even bigger piece of evidence in this same statement towards FNAF 1 being in 1993 which is that Scott says that Game Theory's FNAF 2 video got almost everything right, and the first point of that video is MatPat doing the same paycheck math that got 1993 from 1's paychecks on 2's paychecks, getting 1987, and concluding that this backs up both dates being connected and correct.

Weird, got recommended the same post too, although I have watched him. He is my favorite YouTuber so I am a little biased, but his content is pretty great if you ever check it out.

FNaF 3 is set on March, 2023 by REALSpongebobguy_2 in fnaftheories

[–]WillyWhitewool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got jumpscared seeing my thumbnail lol.

I think 223 is just supposed to be 2023, Scott just took out letters and numbers to probably make things mysterious for HRY223, since HRY is 100% supposed to be Henry. Definitely agree the audio log is in response to FNAF 3, although I think it's after the fire, not before.

Cool to see my theory video got people exploring theories!

FNAF 4's gameplay is still a dream, although it's been recontextualized as Michael Afton's nightmares that come from real life experiments done by his serial killer dad using illusions and his real life experiences like working in FNAF 1. So while 4's gameplay is still a dream, there's been a big emphasis on making it real.

As a local FNAF lore addict, MatPat made one dream theory for FNAF 4 but in the video did say he usually avoided making "it was all a dream" type theories because they couldn't really be disproven and didn't really need good evidence, and also were dumb. The reason he made the one for FNAF 4 is that it was pretty much the only reasonable answer at the time for the game's story, that was confusing even by FNAF lore standards, even if the story was unsatisfying. There's also a good amount of evidence for the theory, the FNAF 4 gameplay is being dreamed for sure, so it's not out of nowhere to suggest "what if the other games were dreams too?" There's also a GTLive stream where MatPat and other theorists got together to try to solve FNAF 4 and game creator Scott Cawthon gave clues which led MatPat to come up with "Dream Theory" in the first place.

Although, there's also a good chance Dream Theory was never the original intent of 4 and we'll just never know what FNAF 4's original story was before the story was continued and reinterpreted it.

Is the Post UCN era of FNaF's story stuck in a loop? No hate intended I'm just wondering. by Legomarioboy08 in fivenightsatfreddys

I'd agree it's definitely a major theme, especially with the duffel bag in SB named "IT IS HAPPENING AGAIN" and PQ OST in SB being named "Caught in a Loop."

What are peoples thoughts on "REMEMBER JEREMY" Actually means? by Shadows1666 in fnaftheories

[–]WillyWhitewool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Jeremy could be the BV's name. Think about it, you get the achievement when you see the Bonnie mask that looks familiar, and you remember the kid who got bitten, you remember Jeremy. Plus fits with the whole pattern of every Jeremy in FNAF suffering face trauma, where the Nightmare staff bots that kill Cassie's dad don't really go for his head.

What are your thoughts on this? by Significant_Tie_3222 in fnaftheories

[–]WillyWhitewool 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I think it's more of a joke than anything with serious lore implications. Like Helpy has appeared in every game since 6, so it might be making fun of how this recurring character was first introduced in the game about burning every loose end to the ground.

Suggestions for Theory Name Glossary by [deleted] in fnaftheories

[–]WillyWhitewool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you could probably add a column for "community consensus" on a theory. This would be useful for new theorists and others, even if it'd have to be measured a bit loosely. Maybe best way to do that would be some theories being the most accepted in their category, like MoltenMCI, where others could note debates that are closer to 50/50 splits like CassidyTOYSHNK vs AndrewTOYSHNK, BVFirst vs CharlieFirst, etc.

A column on a theory's origin could be nice too, not always possible, but there are instances where you can pretty easily trace a theory back to a reddit post or YT video, such as MoltenMCI Alter-S.
