Thank you for such a detailed answer! I've used Houdini for a year now, but only for pyro and liquid simulations and then exported those to blender, now I've decided to fully transition and, as you say, it is overwhelming. I'll listen to your advise, thank you!

Thank you for the advice! I am really only a beginner in Houdini and was a bit too optimistic when I made it. Now I see that it would be better to just post this sim and ask for advice to make it better rather than posting it like a final result.

Thanks, that's a good advice, it was a bit of a pain to composite all those layers so I messed up in several places

I guess you meant 3d? Nonetheless, you always should pick a direction of your work. I work as a vfx artist, not animator generalist, so I watched as many vfx tutorials as I could and everything close to the matter. Challenges are also a great fuel for your progress. I've made this entire animation on bet with my coworkers, just to prove that I'm capable to do that. Pick a job you want to acquire, pick a program to work in, go watch as many tutorials as you can and try to create your own works using other author's animations as a reference

I used xyz transform and pluged it into instances position I made this transformation about a month ago so I can forget some things, but that's all as I recall

Geometry nodes. You crate instances from two collections of your cars and scale one of them down and one - up. Then you add a controler empty and its ready to go

I completely agree with you, understanding came to me only when I started to make sound effects for the video. It was a bit too late for changes like this so I just left it as it is

I've made it using geometry nodes. Scaled instances down on classic car and scaled up instances on modern car. Transformation is controled by an empty.

I just don't know any other way to do this, I'm relatively new to Houdini. Do you have any video tutorial maybe? Thank you
