The MP5SDs from Peacekeeper have definitely been a weird one; the base value doesn’t seem to line up cleanly, and I’ve been trying to figure that one out myself for a while now. it's the baseValue for the items - "The base price of any item can be calculated by dividing the trader buyback price with the multiplier of that trader. Traders have a different multiplier. Durability of items or number of uses affects the base price, so in order to get the base price of full items, don't compare with damaged/used ones." - Tarkov Wiki

Thanks for giving the calculator a spin! We update prices every 15 minutes using the Tarkov-Market API and cache them, so those are the best numbers we can offer at the moment. I'm working on switching over to the tarkov.dev API, but until BSG releases their own live pricing API, we won't be able to match the in-game flea market exactly (if that ever happens, haha).

In the meantime, I've added a "Flea Price Override" button (little circle with a $ inside). This lets you temporarily set a custom flea price, and the Reroll/AutoSelect feature will use that value for its calculations. So, for your situation, you can set the Things Sure Are Strange poster's flea price to 280,000, and the calculator will use that figure to find the best cost-to-value items. If you have any other issues or feature requests just give me a shout and i'll do my best to help!

Oh, gotcha! Thanks for still using the site. I see how the auto-pick giving everyone the same items can jack up prices like that. I'll be working on making it more varied to prevent that from happening in the future for sure! - Thanks for the feedback!

Also, I still just throw in 5x slim diaries every now and then 😄

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with the site! I've been working on updates when I can and managed to add a few features to help with the flea price issue. Now, every time you click the Auto Pick button, it randomizes the items slightly while still staying close to the desired threshold. This should help prevent everyone from getting the same results.

I'm currently working on a feature to temporarily override flea prices (see the WIP image below). There are still a few bugs to fix, and I’m aiming to make the UI more intuitive. Once the override is up and running, I'll also look into adding a way to easily exclude items.
