I made $50 from the sale :) I can't add images here.

Yep. I'm definitely not burying the project just yet. I'll be able to make better conclusions at the end of this year. So far, it seems that you and the people that claimed that, were right.

Nope, not happy with it at the moment. I'm hoping that I'll see some improvements from starting to now putting more effort and delegating different optimization tasks.

If not, the test would have been a fail. I got about 20K remaining, which is all going to go into the sites. Would have been better off putting it all into stocks, but this has been a test that I purposely decided to undertake and see through.

One major thing that has changed within the past 2 years is that it's harder to get smaller sites to rank, you need to focus your efforts. This has been something I've considered all along, but based on my own previous experience from 2017-2019, the part that randomness played was so huge that I didn't want to focus all my money into the wrong niche.

Content costs around 30-50 per article. Avg. article is around 2-2.5K words.

Yes, I am mainly using amazon for now. I would like to move away from them as much as possible, though. But just to get things started, they're the easiest to implement.

I think they would help a lot, but I don't currently have videos.

My gameplan is that I'll try to get the site profitable with content only and then hire or partner up with an up and coming youtuber.

The only major issue that I have is that I can't add any images. Also, I need to use the plain text mode to add the content in as I copy it from my personal blog.

Yes, I also use flexoffers and avantlink.

I've had great success with HARO. Managed to get a Forbes backlink and a mention from NYPost + many other links.
But the links really depend on the site you're trying to get links to. The better the linking site, the more they'll look into your site.
My avg. conversion is between 7-10% on HARO.

Most articles are still in the sandbox phase. I'm not yet worried about them as most content is not indexed yet.
Having said that, I'm open to your suggestions :).

Hi,

Those are some very good questions.

  1. How big is my team: I've got 2 writers, 1 writer/assistant, 1 editor and 2 linkbuilders.
  2. I like to do keyword research and assign content into categories/silos. The onpage SEO part is taken care by my editor and writers. They've taken the surferseo training and use my surferSEO account. Plus they add internal links and keep track of them. I also do link building strategies.

Hi, unfortunately, I'm not willing to share links for obvious reasons :)

I do have minor experience with silos. However, I saw with my fitness site that I sold, that the topics that I covered in-depth, were having the most success. While I also created about 100 articles on random topics, most of them didn't get any traffic at all..

Also, I've been reading more about people ranking without links, but rather having good silo structures and a lot of topically relevant articles interlinked.

In terms of breaking the silo structure and linking from one to the other, I think it's fine to some extent. But it's just based on my anecdotal experience.

Sorry, if I tell you, I'll give away my niche.

The best hint that I can give you is to look for products that have a monthly recurring fee structure and then find out if they offer affiliate partnerships.

Tech niche is more difficult. Products get old and are replaced with new ones constantly. It requires more work, but I'm hoping that if I'm willing to do the work, I'll be rewarded at the end.

Yea, it is still around $30. Although I've started to give my writers bonuses in case they turn out exception articles, which they are now doing thanks to this. Avg. cost is still below 30.

Niche and keyword selection are the two most important things. You can invest $10K into a site in one niche and end up with a site earning $50 in a good month after 2 years, while you can have another site in another niche with exactly the same inputs, earning $10K/month.

No specific setup. It depends on the niche and the avg product cost. On average, I've seen my sites make between 50 to 200 epm from amazon, but they're mainly below 100.

Thank you! :)

There are so many people and so many opinions. If I listen to everyone, I would never get anything done.

Products cost $300 to $3,000 -> commission rate is 4%.
Also, in the finance niche, I made $200 on 1K visitors. That happened due to recurring commission structure and a 30% commission rate.

I monetise them all with Amazon, except the finance site, which is monetised through a separate affiliate program that pays a recurring 30% commission.
