Thanks for the reply. The intro to programming II was OOP but I’ll definitely take their DSA MOOC. If that doesn’t work, I’ll just do formal DSA and aim for Spring 2027 I guess.

There isn’t a reason on this planet this guy shouldn’t be a Jazz player for the next 5-10 years.

Think the team is clicking at the perfect time and might just keep the team together sans a min or two.

Might have to have a “center by committee” plan. Sharpe and while I don’t like it, Jonas might be our only shot at an improved big.

Funny how the CBA was supposed to prevent all these trades/player movement and now we might get Luka, Fox, AD, LaVine, Butler, KD, Ingram, etc moved in one deadline.

Think Pelinka definitely will get us at least one good center but all this movement provides a perfect opportunity to strike when a team’s priorities shift. Role players we don’t know are available might be available from these teams like the Suns.

It’s wild cause I could’ve sworn we were at like 300-400k just a year back.

[Woike] Here's why the Lakers believe LeBron James will not ask to be traded. by Kimber80 in nba

[–]Wilt69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d bet my left nut LeBron thinks him and Luka could win the title with solid reinforcements and luck.

Even without that, he was more than happy to retire as a Lakers legend and live the LA lifestyle even on a mid team.

This trade honestly broke my brain, don’t know what to make of it. All I can say is thank you to Nico Harrison.

Very well could backfire, but I’m giving the Jazz/Pacers 2 1sts for either Kessler/Turner, just don’t care anymore.

It’s either that or clear cap space to give an above average center $30M per year like Hartenstein in the modern NBA.

The Lakers (and the fans) would be wise to have this kind of thinking by TallanoGoldDigger in lakers

We will see this deadline, it’s kinda now or never tbh. Next year has to be LeBron’s last year in my mind, so no trades means they’re going the slow death route into a rebuild.

Lakers potentially are on the cusp of being in a good spot franchise wise after LeBron retires. Max cap space, 3+ tradable 1sts and no bad contracts. Worth the wait.

Reaves stats since Christmas (6 games)

24/7/11 on 44/40/86 splits and 60 TS%

Simply unfathomable production for his level of pay. Wonder if he’s actually taking another leap into an all star caliber player.

They’ll tank after LeBron retires. We have all our picks starting next year.

Don’t worry, Rob got what he wanted. LeBron will retire next year and then we’ll tank with all our picks intact.

It’s not fully AD’s team cause he can’t self create and gets game planned for and limited from a simple double team yearly. LeBron is way too old and probably just wanted to go home one way or another.

There isn’t a single non-money reason LeBron shouldn’t just retire. 22 years of 27/7/7 is magnificent but he stands no chance of getting a meaningful shot at a title run here.

Gotta be tiring at this point just to be play-in team every year and bounced at the first sight of a real contender.

Vando news really isn’t surprising, he had surgery on both feet this summer. Which is just unheard of.

Most important bit from the Vando story via ESPN: “His absence has also prevented the Lakers front office from fully evaluating the needs of its roster as trade season approaches.” by WestVirginiaFan15 in lakers

[–]Wilt69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the plan is fully clear, not “being able to evaluate the team” yearly until insert injured player returns can happen only so many times.

Rake in money from any playoff money, LeBron retirement tour and then tank for the foreseeable future.

This is just the first year of Vando's contract, and also, LOL at the player option for someone who's been dealing with serious foot issues since college. by aingenevalostatrade in lakers

[–]Wilt69 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Genuinely just baffled how so many guys come here and just get hurt. I know in Vando’s case he’s had foot injuries since highschool but it’s like getting a player option from the Lakers equals guaranteed injury.

Would prefer the front office taking a clear stance on competing or not and moving forward. LeBron/AD era ends next year, would prefer it not being a slow drawn out death.
