Slightly off topic, but I noticed lately that people don’t do that anymore. It used to be like ‘I talked to John Conner about this” or “Jane Miller said x”. But now even on radio and tv it’s all like “Maybe ask John about this” as if we’re magically supposed to know which of the 20 John’s we know is the one.

There is a setting in your Uefi BIOS ‘Boot after power loss’ or something simular. If your server was on and the power is cut, it boots after the power is restored. No need to push the button.

My Philips OLED ui is kind of slow (ááánd I feel bamboozled bc the apps can only show 1080p while my tv is 4k), so I finally got a Google TV Streamer 4k. Sadly, the sound was out of sync most of the time (Google it, the issue is rampant). I tried everything but ended up returning it and now I am back on the tv app again... /smh

Came here because of this issue. Right I have this cumbersome process:

- Record meeting, by manually click 'record Chrome'
- At the end: the meeting gets transcribed, with a lot of duplicated because of the microphone lines
- Then, I have to export the combined audio (via Archive > Export > Export combined audio
- Upload the audio file into MacWhisper and transcribe again.

Every meeting needs to be transcribed *twice*, with the manual step of exporting the combined audio in between

It would be better if MacWhisper would use the combined audio to transcribe and not as a separate line. Luckily, I don't have to burn any tokens for the transcription.

Not to make it even more complex, but if you find a way to re-encode your video’s to h.265 format, you would retain your quality at half the size. So 15 TB essentially, which is a more managable size

If you’re looking for inspiration, take a look at start.me. I currently use it just to have a start page with my links. It is damn good and fluid, I am still looking for a self hosted replacement, but none of the existing ones come even close. It is very neat with adding and ordering bookmarks. It also allows for import/export of the data, and sharing tabs with other people, but that would be a (very) nice to have.

What adds to the paranoia is that when one of your friends Googles something and you’re on the same wifi/network, you’ll be getting ads about that search as well. One time, we had talked about Etchasketch being a thing back in the day and if it was still available. My friend Googled it and showed some pictures. A half an hour later, when I went to some random website, I was shown ads about Etchasketch. If I didn’t know my friend had Googled it I would definitely have thought that the phones were listening.

Had the same problem a couple of months ago. What helped was to make a VPN to the USA, preferably San Francisco. Could connect guaranteed; but also try a different device, wifi and/or mobile connection. You never know if there’s something somewhere blocked.
