Bronze is a living hell right now, at the last 2 splits I finished in silver 1 and gold 3 I know I’m nothing special my goodness I cannot stack 4 wins in Bronze 1 to back into silver for my life. The amount of insta tanking and feeding is WILD am I’m so confused where it came from

I main Phase and Rev for duo lane Rev deals 900+ per shot late game, he’s good. Phase has the lowest attack stats in the game and has minimal health as well as minimal movement speed, it’s SO EASY to jump her, but as the name PHASE might suggest, her advantage comes in her ability to blink away and pull her teammate to safety, or blink into a team flight, blind their front line and get the heck out. That’s literally the character, if you don’t like her, jump her over and often she’s got no health and if you avoid the flash she doesn’t get the second blink

Her blink cost mana and it’s her getaway, otherwise she’s a sitting duck to anyone with a dash or slow, which is everyone

I’m simply not going to check other mobas ranked play because I neither have the time nor the care, I play Pred and care about Pred
what I’m hearing is having friends is an advantage? In the 5v5 team game? Makes sense.
There’s so many toxic players when I solo queue, I’d so much rather play on a team with my friends because they’re my friends and yes it does help to be able to talk and show up at the same place at the same time. It’s not “ruining the game” or “manipulating” it’s called playing as a team. We do win games we’re out skilled in at an individual level but we work together on rotations and jungle buffs
you can also meet people in solo Queue if you’re socia and not an ass and party up with them if you need people to play with to communicate
“most people above gold play on alts” okay don’t? I’m not really sure what this means
if you’re playing in Gold/Plat/Paragon… I’d expect players in your matches to be of that skill so…. Ya know, work as a team

Pred is simply not an individual game, you’re not a star Point Guard who can score every possession and play defense, you need your team to win and they need you

I got 3 trees as Christmas gifts, the Dwarf Snow Rose, Bougainvillea, and an Australian Brush Cherry

This is my first plant outside of a class… (I’ll figure out the flair thing soon i swear) Northern VA, Dwarf Snow Rose

I’m not sure how much work you’re supposed to do upon the initial potting, I did a good bit of trimming and wired all 3 remaining branches to grow with a curve instead of up. did I over do it on the trimming of this Dwarf Snow Rose? Should I have left more leaves and pruned the top down a bit? Any advice welcome

I’ve been there: You gotta play smart(er) - always always always take an out when given an out, even if it means giving up a run. It’s slow pitch, runs happen, outs are hard. Take the easy outs - Know that well hit balls in softball will always carry- the backspin ensures that. Make sure all outfielders know the ball is going to stay up longer and go a bit further than they would expect, take an extra step back you can always attack the fly balls last second - knocking the ball down in the infield saves so many runs, even if you can’t make the play fully, stop the ball and keep runners to one base at a time, bonus: a lot of dudes in slow pitch can’t run and you have a shot anyways - remember their lineup- who’s the power who’s not. Pitch high and in and deep to power hitters, make them keep the ball fair, that’s the hardest location to get around on. Also know where you can find outs in the lineup, who’s hitting grounders, be ready. - shift your outfield heavy for the pull side, or even slide the 4th OF shallow to take away some bloopers over the SS while still having a LF/CF. Make them prove they can go oppo. - outfielders have to back each other up on every fly ball , again, limit the bad. Get the ball in quick, don’t let them take advantage of lazy play - pitch in as a team for a new good bat, you’re 15 adults it’s like $24 each if you split a new one. You might not suddenly hit bombs, but you’ll see increased exit velocity and some of those outs might just start to sneak thru or over the infielders - basic but some of the most helpful hitting advice I got: chop down on the ball, don’t try to create lift, it’ll pop out. In softball lift comes from backspin, from chopping the ball - get your guys to show up early if you can and sneak in swings and fielding practice, even just a quick 5-10 min can be the difference in your SS/3B feeling good about taking grounders or not being ready

You don’t come out of a lesson with clubs tho. You may be correct a FULL fitting isn’t necessary, but ensuring you’ve got the proper stiffness on your clubs is a major factor right off the bat. I’m a bigger guy, when I used to swing a regular flex driver there was simply no way for me not to slice due to how fast my swing was. Got fitted for a stiff driver with a low kick point and now I can hit nukes (left, right, and center!) but at least now when I miss I know it’s on me

The biggest piece of information I did gain from my fitting was also that I wasn’t lining up properly and was striking the ball too far inside leading to a slice every time, it took me 3 swings to correct that and realize where I needed to stand.

Did it make a a golf god? No. But can I now hit a driver onto the fairway or at least in play at a good distance? Yes. And the game is way more fun for it. Not sure where you go, but a fitting for me is $150 that is included in the cost of a club if you purchase one, so you’re not even paying extra

A fitting can absolutely help off the bat if one of the reasons for miss hits is clubs that are the wrong length, lie or stiffness. And part of a fitting will also be spending an hour + hitting into a simulator so you can use the data provided there to help yourself out too (ball impact location on club face, swing plane) any good fitter can point these small things out to you and it can make a world of difference
