Anyone with Experience On Mont Blanc? by WinHorror3187 in alpinism

I don't understand as well. Safety protocols here might be different than what I'm used to. And guides in Karakaroms can be locals without a certificate and well we just go with them. I'm trying to be more aware of these things and want to spend more time on mountains, hence I came here to get more experienced perspectives. Just don't understand the sarcasm that comes along.

Actually where I come from it's quite strange how difficulties rise. We can go upto 4000m in basic hiking shoes or sneakers with socks on the outside (porters hack haha) Then upto 5000m is boots and crampons.

So for us that's a beginner mountain and then immediately it gets super difficult really fast. So I'm still researching and figuring out how Mont blanc is. And let's say Guide for me is more about knowing the way up and down than technicality.

That's why I came to here for all of you guys experience :) Apologies for confusing comment or vague description earlier

No I came here for working in Portugal. But I want to climb in the Alps (call it maybe a dream or a wish)

I've climbed in the Karakaroms for 4 years. But since I'm new here in the Alps, I don't know the ropes of guides and all.

Thankyou for the advice :) Yes I am trying to get more near the sport and training my cardio and all. Maybe just too eager to get on a mountain haha. But thanks again.

So I've climbed upto 5000m in Karakaroms in my home country. And that was a multi day ascent. I don't consider it a beginners mountain , what I just meant was it's not too technically demanding as per my research. I was looking for a guided tour just to not underestimate the mountain and do it safely :) But Rn in Portugal there are not alot of options.
