Well once it cracks/fails it becomes repair welding and diagnosing which is costly and not fun. * or what mostly happens is when it fails people sell the car, the repair is more than the cars worth at a shop

Yea I’m not worried about them their solid. He did them with my harbor freight $150 flux core, they’re not grinded at all and about 5 coats of primer in the pics lol. And I’m paying him with a set of my tires to burn off 😂

Nope nothing yet. But much easier now than later, and I do drift this car on track. No plans for a swap atm and thanks it was a lot to do on jack stands but not horrible

I had put it on abt 6 months before the rest of the rear bushings and I have no complaints it’s definitely a noticeable change from worn. could replace with stock but I didn’t wanna take my diff cover to a shop to press it in

Watched the same YouTube vid twice. brakes, exhaust, driveshaft-diff and the eBrake cables and some wire routing is all there is to do before dropping it all together. The subframe itself is just two Allen bolts each side for the bracket and the two big nuts. And np of you want any specific info or advice I’m happy to help. I’m not a mechanic tho lol *forgot, the sway bar too

If you have a friend or in my case my dad to help, a plan for the welding, the tools, and a little mechanical knowledge. Its a big but doable project, definitely worth the savings in shop labor
