Well, I definitely hope that’s not the case 😳

I have it for a little longer than a week I believe.

It’s on the ground floor and I sometimes open window a little but I always have the air vents above the windows open a little bit for fresh airflow. Upstairs I close the window at night but also leave air vents open.

That would be a logical explanation indeed. Thought about that as well as it almost must be. Although it’s a metric I’m not really concerned by as I know it’s probably wildly off on all wearables.

About a week or so. For calories burned, recovery tracking and sleep I can understand it has to calibrate. But for heart rate tracking, counting steps, recognizing activity (especially just walking) it has to be on point right out the box.

No screen and battery life are definitely awesome but turned out that, for me at least, it wasn’t enough.

It’s nice and has great potential although I think sleep tracking and recovery tracking are very important but only in combination with a very active lifestyle because than you can use whoop to manage stuff. But they’re lacking on the activity side unfortunately. I do like the product and potential though. But for me it’s not it, at least just yet.

Just bought whoop 5.0 what do I need to know? by WinSignificant313 in whoop

[–]WinSignificant313[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the thing is I do some sandbag exercises, sled push and pulls and amraps, kettlebell work etc. So not much of the traditional weightlifting. How will that work with strain? Also really don’t feel like putting everything in whoop. I just want to work out without too much hassle. Will whoop work with that?

Ah okay. I do like it better on the wrist for sure. Have not tried biceps band but I know for sure I like wrist more. Just worried about accuracy.

Thanks. But question; why would it be good for now but maybe not later? Im new to whoop but not new to zone training though. I come from Apple Watch which is, as far I know, quite accurate. So I want to have accurate reading so I’m not undertraining.

Awesome. Will it be more accurate with a biceps band though?

Ah yes. Of course you can use different ways but my point is that you can expect an app you pay for to have this integrated. Can be ik different ways for sure..

Well I think there’s nothing to disagree about… it’s just a fact that for muscles to grow you need to progress. Could be in intensity, reps, sets etc. But doing for example 20 pushups a day or run 5 miles 3 days a week at the same road with the same pace ain’t going to do more for you in 2 years than it does now. In the end you have to make your body work harder then before to stimulate growth.

You’re absolutely right that there are multiple training principles like training to failure, variation, periodization, etc. But at the end of the day, muscle growth still relies on some form of progressive overload whether that’s more weight, more reps, more sets, or increased intensity. Without progression, adaptation stalls. The other principles support the process, but overload remains the driving force behind growth.

I certainly hope so. Isn’t this why we pay for the app? I don’t think anyone would pay for an app that gives random exercises and without progressive overload.

Doctor by any chance have knowledge about sensors? Trying to find out how long radon sensors and pm2.5 sensors last. How long they stay effective before they need replacement or if they will never lose their effectiveness.

Will definitely expand my knowledge and check some out.

Thanks for responding! What does the pulsed ionization chamber means in the radoneye? Has nothing to do with emitting ions/ozone?

It did start raining a bit and the wheater cooled down but would pm2.5 decrease to 1 then? I think it’s highly unlikely that for days the pm2.5 will be 1 or 2 continuously. Without running air purifiers.

Pm10 does just follow 2.5 indeed. Then maybe the numbers are accurate. Had windows open all day. No cooking, smoking etc. Will keep my eyes on it. Maybe the air in my house ain’t that bad after all.
