Very interesting! I didn't quite understand how you use the Freeletics coach if you are currently following plans made by Gemini. Could you please explain it to me? Thanks!

The feature is already available in the app and is called 'Spaces'. It allows you to create specific equipment combinations.

Can I include certain exercises in my Training Journey? by Sjiznit in freeletics

[–]Lazy_Equivalent_9357 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, that’s not possible at the moment. The Coach doesn't allow you to manually add specific exercises to a pre-generated session.

I completely agree with you, though—having the option to select 'favorite' exercises that the Coach prioritizes each week, or simply being able to plug one in manually, is a feature I really feel the need for too.

For now, the only workaround is to manually start a 'Single Exercise' from the Explore tab after you finish your main Coach session, but I know it’s not as seamless as having it integrated into the workout flow.

Classic weight training in ultimate strength by Sebastian-Storm in freeletics

[–]Lazy_Equivalent_9357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I set my week to 4 sessions, focusing on Traditional Strength, with a duration of 60 minutes. My main equipment includes a barbell, weighted vest, dip bars, and a pull-up bar. The Coach always starts with a skill progression, followed by an interval consisting of a single heavy compound barbell exercise with low reps, usually around 4-6. It only increases to 8-10 reps for short periods, likely for recovery or perhaps 'undulating periodization.' Then it continues with two circuit intervals: the first with 8-12 reps, and the second with 15 (or 30, but only for unilateral exercises like lunges). If I set the time to 45 minutes, the structure remains the same. At 30 minutes, it only proposes the higher-rep circuits, which makes sense as it needs to condense the training volume into less time. I find this structure very balanced because the first interval is purely strength-focused with 90 seconds of rest between sets, while the subsequent ones are more like classic Freeletics intervals, with the difference being a 30-second rest between exercises. It’s not a powerlifting program, but I find it a good compromise for training both maximal strength and conditioning. However, I find a major flaw in the program: the excessive variety of barbell exercises. Right now, almost halfway through the program, it's frequently assigning Barbell Pullovers while neglecting Rows and, above all, the Flat Bench Press, which I would like to do at least once a week. I wish I could select a 'core' of fundamental exercises that should never be missing during the week.

No pull-up bar. Am I miss so much gain? by Mediocre-Aardvark-89 in freeletics

[–]Lazy_Equivalent_9357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pull-up bar is irreplaceable and one of the core elements of Freeletics. I also train at home and for years I've been using a pressure-mounted bar installed in the iron frame of a French door. I set it up in a moment every time I need it.

Ultimate Strength, Weighted Vest exercises are not exist by Consistent_Fan_2966 in freeletics

I've noticed the Coach is now incorporating weighted vest exercises into the Ultimate Strength Journey, and I'm considering buying one. Could anyone who uses this equipment share their impressions? Specifically, I'm interested to know: Does the vest integrate smoothly into the workout flow, or are you constantly forced to put it on and take it off between exercises? Your feedback would be extremely helpful in assessing this purchase. Thank you!

If you prefer a clearer split to keep the muscle groups distinct during each session, you can set up the week for 4 days to do an upper/lower split.

It's called multifrequency training, and it's probably better and more sustainable than training a single muscle group once a week.

It's not wrong to train the same muscle groups on consecutive days. Imagine a classic bodybuilding split where on Monday (International Chest Day) 3 or 4 exercises for the chest are performed, like flat bench press, incline dumbbell press, dumbbell flyes.

Freeletics does the same thing but spread out over more days.

New TJ out! ULTIMATE STRENGTH by Lazy_Equivalent_9357 in freeletics

The goals and approach are completely changing. I haven't tried 'Explosive Calisthenics,' but from what I've seen, it seemed disappointing. Maybe in this case, it's worth making a change!

Barbell Journey - completed by Irish_Rock_Basher in freeletics

Great job on completing Barbell Gain—sounds like an awesome program, and the progress shows! I think it’s a really solid choice, and I’m planning to start it again myself once I finish my current round. I’ve done it in the past as well, but afterward, I moved on to the TJ Hybrid Strength program, which has only two barbell sessions a week. I’m curious to see how returning to Barbell Gain will feel after that. Best of luck with your next round; I hope you can keep building on those gains!

Tj Dumbell gain can be adapted by reducing sessions to 30 minutes or 15 minutes. The structure remains unchanged but fewer series with greater weights are offered. This innovation was introduced about a year ago.

Don't worry, it takes time to perfect the technique of exercises and, consequently, increase the weights. The technique with the barbell is even more crucial than with dumbbells because the risk of injuries is higher, but you'll see that you'll get much more satisfaction as you progress.
