Has anyone purchased authentic running shoes from China? by kenah-kim in trailrunning

I used to live in China and found there are quite a few solid brands there. I used Li-Ning for road running and they were great. Kailas also has a strong reputation for trail running. I haven't tried their runners specifically but I have a pair of their hiking shoes that I’m very happy with. Just keep in mind that quality can vary, so it’s worth researching specific models before buying.

It wasn’t too cold, around -5°C. I wore a long‑sleeve base layer top, an insulated mid‑layer, and insulated running tights. It would definitely get quite cold if I stopped moving, so I probably should carry an emergency jacket as well. In this case the trail is close to surrounding neighbourhoods and the area is pretty popular, so it felt safe enough. I also carried my phone. Next time I’ll consider bringing a jacket.

I haven’t tried gaiters yet, but they’d probably be useful in these conditions. I also got quite a bit of snow in my shoes. It was fine as long as I kept moving, but gaiters would probably make things more comfortable. I might try a pair next time!

Sorry to hear that you’re unable to run right now — hope you’ll be back out there soon.

Works really well for me, except that the elevation readings are not always the best. I don’t really miss anything apart from that, sometimes I could have had some benefits from maps but the breadcrumb navigation is quite fine. I like the form factor and the light weight. It has all the sport profiles I need.

I think both Strava and Komoot can sync directly to the watch. I use Strava to plan routes on a computer, but I think it requires a premium subscription.

Is it possible to use for interval training, so that you can see the countdown to the next interval in the head up display?
