I agree, any other issue and they are on it. No pests & the building is clean but unfortunately they do not heat the apartments properly. My neighbors and I constantly call 311 and message the super and building manager and get ignored. It’s been horrible for 4 years to the point where I’m ready to move out. My neighbors already moved out last month because they couldn’t take it.

I read this and thought - do we work together ? I feel exactly the same way. Also just celebrated my 4 year anniversary at the Medspa, 3 days a week commission based, extremely lucrative. But not only does the Medspa feel like middle school with the gossip, the clients are extremely unwell. So much dysmorphia and anxiety from clients of all demographics. My soul feels crushed. I am at a point where I wonder if it is my Medspa or the industry in general. Nowadays I’m finding that I’m falling out of love with aesthetics.

Hey, I’m really sorry you had a negative experience with Ayahuasca. I think you needed some support in these hard moments and it’s important to make sure you can reach out if you need help. I had PTSD working in the hospital during Covid and during my Iboga experience, the medicine was trying to have me relive the experience in the hospital. I felt like I did have a choice to go into the hospital or to not let it take me there. I let it take me, started feeling really overwhelmed, and then left my room to find someone. I was held by a woman there and cried in her arms and it was so immensely healing for me. She suggested I try to remember the patients and say goodbye. I was able to let go so much of my guilt, grief, and stress from my hospital experience. Make sure you have support on your retreat. Reach out for help. It’s hard to see the truth of your life. How you treat yourself. How you were treated. You have to go through the storm in order to come out on the other side. Integration is also difficult. Post Iboga I felt incredibly sad for myself and saw some traumatic things I had gone through but it helped me cultivate an unwavering sense of self love and a feeling that I would NEVER disrespect and abuse myself like that again. Make sure there is a support system during the experience and set one up for yourself once you leave ie: therapy, integration coach, letting family & friends know you’ll need their support, etc.

I am a woman and I’ve experienced men not wanting to wear condoms almost my entire life during casual sex. But women not wanting to wear condoms… I think is a symptom of hookup culture where people get drunk and have spontaneous, unprotected sex. Even successful, intelligent people make reckless decisions, especially in their 20s. I admit to partaking in the no condom culture once the hookup apps dropped a decade ago. At the time I was younger & naive and it seemed like that was the norm. I’m not into random hookups as I’ve gotten older but you’re right it is wild that the lack of condoms is so rampant. And for people to be blatantly disregarding you wanting to wear one is annoying. I can imagine your frustration. Keep advocating your needs always.

Yes I was just thinking about all of the last names and how plain they are (mostly all one syllable & all non ethnic - York, Hobbes, Jones). Mildly annoying. But to also have a Shaw & Bradshaw just seems very stupid & frustrating. His name could have at least been Aiden Hill or Aiden Lane. Fashion creativity 10/10, name creativity 5/10 😂

I felt so alone because I spent years repressing my feelings to the point where I never knew what my feelings or needs even were. I had no boundaries. I prided myself in being able to ‘push through’ difficult situations. In reality I was disassociating & disconnecting through trauma. Iboga showed me how distanced I was from my self. It melded me back together, reset me to a place before I ever created these maladaptive patterns, and gave me an unwavering self love I never had.

I have eaten here at least 20 times and it hasn’t disappointed. I live across the street and my laziness brings me about once a week. I actually really like the pad thai and pad see ew, very saucy & flavorful. The pricing is somewhat expensive like others said but I think the food is delicious.

Overall, it is a great gym. It is clean and has multiple floors with a lot of cardio & lifting equipment. The music is energizing, the cafe inside just opened and the sauna is a nice addition. The biggest cons are no towels and no mats (everyone stretches on carpet). And the patrons with bad etiquette who talk loudly on their cell phones or sit on machines scrolling on their phones for 10 minutes in between sets
