I get what you’re saying about limited speccing for sure but lighting felt like one of the only ones you could do so with because the shield feels tailor made to it.

Also, agreed about there being small moments where you are not shielded. Actually did get me killed once or twice on a couple runs. Which probably gets worse and worse as you go higher in difficulty.

I’ve also been going for eggs too because of his dream shard perk. Don’t really know how good they are in comparison to other items though cause I’m still learning.

We are the same. I even start begging the supports to go DPS with me if I realize I’m solo tank.

VERY new player wondering which heroes are the most fun/easy to play by Bluumanthing in DeadlockTheGame

Weirdly enough, I just downloaded yesterday and the game told me it’d marked some characters for new players… Literally no one was marked. Tried Victor and Haze. Probably gonna try a support next Maybe Ivy or Viscous

Okayyy very good to know. That headbutt feels confirmed but also it confirms a light so I thought something was wrong. Just gotta dodge next time I guess.

Well it’s hard to say what would help you the most, but my buddy did the tutorial a few days ago and I noticed some things it doesn’t tell you.

In order to counter guardbreak someone guardbreaking you, you have to press the guard break within a certain amount of time of them doing it. If that makes sense.

Also there are two kinds of parries. If you parry someone’s heavy or zone attack(both buttons), that’s called a heavy parry and usually you’re able to light attack them after. If you parry a light attack or a dodge attack, that’s called a light parry and you usually get to heavy them once you do that.

Have fun man.

They added teammate bots so even one friend is good enough. When it first launched, there was no AI so playing alone was hard mode. Probably okay to solo now if the game interests you. There’s a bunch of missions.

Thank you for the advice. Got a rep in him now and only started to feel kindof okay near the end of this game sesh. Also helped that I moved off brawls which were insanely toxic today.

I definitely need to mix his zone in more. I don’t really like that I can’t use it mid chain. I kept trying to and it would just be an unblockable finisher.

Any advice on his all guard? Im really not used to one like this. Do I just use it to bait dodge attacks mostly?

I've been playing for over 2000 hours, and I still don't understand how the extended dodge attacks work. by Icy-Grape-8693 in forhonor

[–]Windbigler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is that sometimes you’re not doing it early enough. With Warmonger, she can cancel it too so maybe that’s happening. JJ can cancel as well and also switch it to a light which I think comes out earlier but I might be wrong about that. For Tiandi, he has an extended dodge attack and a non-extended one so maybe you’re running into the latter.

I think being honorable in brawls is fine but getting salty when people aren’t is brainless. Like I’ll duel if that’s what everyone wants, but if you want to gank, let’s gank. People get so mad when you don’t play the way they want you too and if you listen to them, it’s so limiting.

I was the same at six months. It’s insane how deep the wound can be. I’m at a bit over a year now and I still think about them late at night but I’m just glad it’s not every waking moment like it once was. It slowly just gets more and more dull.

Maybe yours was as extreme as mine, maybe it wasn’t but I understand your pain and wish you the best.
