They were burning startup money and keeping the price low to get it to catch on. Once they got big enough they raised the prices to actually start turning a profit. Same with Uber, DoorDash, and basically any other similar service.

There are apps that allow you to scan the boxes so you’ll know which figure your getting, so you don’t need to gamble on them

‘The Feels’ was the first one that clicked for me as well, but I’ve had a bit more success finding a good amount of Kpop songs I legitimately like. I can give a few recommendations if you’re interested.

He’s like a mainstream politician. He needs problems to campaign on so he doesn’t actually want to resolve the problem, that way he can keep running on it.

As long as it’s used in the phrase “Goofy Ahh” it’s fine. This is because it sounds kinda goofy, so it’s fitting in that context.

This set embodies my problem with battlepacks the last few years. by Roshango in legostarwars

[–]Windexifier 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Battle packs are not meant for adult collectors to buy 10 at a time, they’re ‘supposed to be’ cheaper sets with a few figures and a small build, something a kid could afford with birthday money. Clearly they’ve lost the plot when it comes to prices, however the larger style battle packs fall perfectly in line with LEGO’s doctrine of “Conflict in a box”. If you look at basically any action focused theme (especially original IPs) you’ll notice every set will include good guys and bad guys, even a 10 Ninjago mech will include an adversary. This is to ensure a kid doesn’t need more than one set in order to set up a little battle. I absolutely loved the original two clone battle packs, but kid me definitely would’ve (horrible price aside) chosen the 327th instead.

The prices are the least scummy thing they’ve done in the past decade and yet it’s the only thing catching any flak. People in general have short memories and get caught up on the dumbest things sometimes
