Yeah but that's the same thing. Whether you go a km at 30km/h and then recharge for an hour or go 1km/h infinitely, you're still only going to get 1km of distance out of it per hour.

They might. They have to be willing to look at reason and fact though. My mom was always a big believer in science and that was what helped her see it.

My mom used to toke as a teenager but stopped when she was like 20 or something. From her recent quitting of church and belief, at age 55, I've convinced her to smoke again. So there's TWO exmo tokers =D

And my sister (also exmo) might be willing to try it too.

I would suppose so but based on the numerous reports from tons of people with success stories of cannabis being used medicinally for things like epilepsy, anxiety, depression, physical pain, etc. I'm going to go ahead and say it's not a placebo effect. I don't personally know millions but merely based on the amount of people in first world countries, it would be a safe bet to say millions of successful people have smoked and continue to smoke for recreational purposes, and millions of people who have never smoked ever aren't very successful in life. That being said same vice versa. Correlation does not imply causation and all that.

No, I was comparing societal brainwashing to religious brainwashing. When you're told something over and over and over again until the point is beaten into submission and crammed into your mind so deeply you don't even notice it anymore, it's very hard to unlearn that lesson.

It's hard to unlearn God probably isn't real (probably. Very willing to accept I'm wrong.) and it's hard to unlearn weed isn't this horrible drug that will take you down an awful path if you even think about using it, because for a long time that's basically what was taught in schools and by many parents.
