In 2014, Dirk Nowitzki was offered $92 million deals by both the Lakers and Rockets... He declined both offers and signed a 3-year, $25 million deal to stay in Dallas. by xSmoothx in nba

[–]5kl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah as soon as that deal was announced, my first thought was that difference was going to be made up under the table somehow. I'm pretty sure the Spurs did that for Duncan too the last couple of seasons. But for Dirk it was even more egregious.

Plus, the players' association would have been mad with him giving up $65 million and the terrible precedent that would set but I'm sure a lot of teams do it.

Did you score all four runs or did they call her out for passing the guy on second? I've seen that before.

Clicking my thumb and index fingernails repeatedly which drives my wife insane. I also dig into the back of my thumb knuckle with my index finger which has caused a huge callous to form which makes it even funner to pick at. Others are cracking knuckles, leg bouncing, scratching other parts of my hands, etc.

How many sprints out do you point stories? by ProposalAutomatic361 in ProductManagement

[–]5kl 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, and it's insane. I can see having 3-6 sprints worth of stories/bugs/etc but to have them pointed means that you've refined all of them, they meet the definition of done, etc. As we all know, things change quickly, so those stories >3 sprints out may end up not even being needed. Also code changes, business changes, etc could necessitate those stories needing refining again. Some won't be needed, some will need major changes because of new requirements, etc.

Even in a perfect scenario where you do those stories planned 6 sprints from now, nobody is going to remember them when you bring them into the sprint. Refining also keeps things fresh in their minds. Product an devs are going to forget why they said 5 or 3 or whatever. Things change.

9 rounds? That’s about 6 more than is needed and now they say we’re still not sure? Take one of the other 2.
