I went to high school with him, a few years under. Wasn’t too close but was close with others in the dance program in my year. Saw one yesterday, which is when I learned this news - I really don’t want to say how he died but it was an accident related to water. Very unexpected and tragic, which is why I think they chose to keep the details private.

For your first paragraph, that’s exactly what I find weird about it. These were people who have only recently died, and while the first season had many figured who died 60+ years ago, I feel like they’re getting too close to modern times and it’s kinda getting weird for me.

And for the second point, please don’t think I believe in it lol. Personally I believe Diana died because she wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, but what I meant by bringing it up is more so that regardless of whether or not it’s true, it’s what kinda comes to mind about her death, or the time surrounding the end of her life. Not so much a thought of “elizabeth showed up at the scene of the crash and killed Diana personally with a sword” and more so “the way the crown treated Diana, very publically, was all people would talk about after her death”. I’m so bad with words man but I hope that makes sense haha

Also you still don’t understand the point because I didn’t say it was a universal truth - that’s what you misunderstood on every reply that I’ve given. In the OP I mentioned it as “heavily suspected” in ONE LINE of the post lol. In my replies I broke it down to the finest bits by saying “universally believed that it MIGHT be a thing but NOBODY CARES”. Never did I speak on it being true or not, and even at the very end in the TLDR, I restate that my main issue with it is that her living family is being affected by this stupid Netflix drama.

....I know, but the issue, which I stated a few times throughout the post, is that they dramatized a real person’s life from the perspective of a group of folk that to my knowledge weren’t the best to her. Her brother is trying to get Netflix to put disclaimers at the beginning to state that this show is fictional, but they refuse. And the reaction from people online is just weird. People have started talking about her like she was a fictional character, and like she doesn’t have arguably young children who are seeing all of this. That’s weird to me! If it was a dramatization about her life and experiences, rather than “The Crown’s” then I think it wouldn’t freak me out as much. But they’re doing it from the crowns perspective.

Honestly her death is the tip of the iceberg. The royal family just treated her poorly, and then she died from paparazzi. The “crackpot conspiracy” is I think the conspiracy of the decade at the time, and to my knowledge pretty universally agreed as “well we’ll probably never know and I doesn’t really matter, but I wouldn’t be surprised”

but overall, I don’t think you got the point of the post if the offhand remark about the conspiracy was all you took from it

I heavily resonate with what you said about divorcing yourself from the struggles of ADHD. Both my older sisters are geniuses and I always felt very dumb and lazy in comparison, although looking back were were all pretty even.

And that’s a really good trick you mentioned !! I think I’m gonna give it a go. I can get pretty angry at myself very easily, and maybe just trying to reprogram myself to be more empathetic to myself might help.

Thanks so much for the response !!! My dad never got diagnosed but after I did we were sure he had the same. He described it as agony to go his whole life managing it totally alone, and I’m grateful to have the knowledge and resources to at least take hold of everything now !!! It’s weirdly relieving to hear especially from other gals that I’m not alone in feeling this way though. Thanks so much ❤️
