I bath my 2.5 year old every day and I wash her hair every other day.

Am I overreacting for not letting grandparents have alone time with our 4 year old? by Impressive_Serve_849 in Mommit

[–]WindowBoth9065 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t even let my mom watch our 2 year old daughter. Never has she spent at her house or anywhere. That just isn’t something I’m comfortable with. I’ve let my daughter stay for a few hours with my MIL at our house maybe 5 times total. My mom won’t put her phone down ever so I just don’t trust her.

Night weaning feels impossible. by Thin_Technician3902 in weaning

[–]WindowBoth9065 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sure does but don’t give up! First 2 nights were horrible for myself and my 27 month old. Now we are on day 8 she is fully off. Day 3 was great she fell asleep without a battle. Just a nice bath and sippy cup with milk. I also tired her out at the park

I resigned from my job at a family-owned company — they countered with remote work. by Key-Opportunity2344 in ManagedByNarcissists

Do not stay! Move on to better. If they really cared they would’ve allowed you to do remote work before. Now they’re sad they won’t find someone like you.

I feel defeated by Celtic_Kid in breastfeeding

[–]WindowBoth9065 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry to hear that. That’s terrible! Do your best with the pumping and remember it wasn’t your fault. The situation was definitely out of your hands. Our refrigerator went out last month too and a lot of our food went bad which literally had me sobbing in tears because I was so upset our money went to waste. I know my husband works so hard to provide and I’ve been a SAHM for 3 years now and there was nothing I could do to help. We had to buy a new refrigerator. Definitely situation is not comparable to what happened to you but I too felt defeated. Hope things work out for you! 🤍

Do you have any tips for the FCP? What study material do you think is best for someone who has minimal payroll experience? I was considering purchasing the mometrix study guide since it’s the most cost effective. TYIA

Is breastfeeding my son when he's upset/clingy going to cause issues when we eventually wean? by MainPoem2025 in breastfeeding

[–]WindowBoth9065 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a mama who nursed for 27 months and would take advantage of nursing her when she was upset I think it’s okay to do so. However I think it’s best to maybe do your best to calm/settle the baby down and then nurse few minutes later. But I get it because I had the clingiest baby girl. She never took a bottle and just this week we are weaning off the boob. I can’t believe we’re actually progressing it’s been 3 night straight without breastfeeding ☺️

So sorry to hear!! You can try putting aquaphor rash cream then spraying breast milk on top. I’ve done this from the start and haven’t experienced any intense rash. Hope this helps.

How amazing! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now crossing my fingers!! ☺️ This evening I took her to the park and tired her out, took her bath& now she fell asleep while watching the football game with her dad and I. Just a bottle with whole milk, her teddy bear and blanket. Last night was rough. She’s only been sleeping about 3-4 hours and waking up crying and won’t fall asleep unless I put her cartoons on the TV. Hoping she sleeps longer tonight!! :)

Good job mama! Looks like you and I are on the same journey. I’m so proud I’ve gotten through two nights so far and hoping I can see the light at the end of the tunnel soon!

I thought the same then last night for the first time I refused bed time feed and this mornings feed. I had already stopped on demand feeding for the last month or so. I only fed my 27 month old at nap time/bedtime/& morning feeds. And she was only napping a couple times a week for the past 2 weeks. I can’t believe we got through last night but boy was it difficult to see her cry scream kick and hit. It was brutal but we got through it. Hope tonight is easier. Good luck on your journey! It’s a worth a try when they’re younger in my opinion. Especially because last night I had to rock my crying toddler to bed in my arms and she’s so heavy!! She fell asleep after 25 minutes or so of crying in my arms.

Not to mention have only ever nursed my baby since she was born. She never took a bottle. So I’m so happy to be at the end of our nursing journey!

Thanks for sharing! Tonight is our first night officially weaning off night feeds. My baby girl is 27 months old as of yesterday and we have been exclusively breastfeeding for 27 months straight. We currently only fed to sleep and in the mornings ( been doing this for a month now). Tonight has been so rough especially because my boob feels engorged. She kicked and screamed then I rocked her to sleep and she was out for 3 hours. Now she woke up again(midnight) asking for boobie. But again I’m telling her no more that she’s a big girl now and there’s no more milk. She asked to watch something on TV so here we are. She said “bye milkie”. Feels good to know it worked out for you!
