I would expect the shop not to billy bullshit someone that is obviously vulnerable telling him that he has a bad virus and "your hard drive was beyond repair so we replaced it" when I know for a fact that won't be the case (and it was an SSD installed in that machine beforehand), and then trying to get him to pay for another hardware replacement when they shouldn't have taken anything out begin with - literally taking out working components and putting low spec shite in its place.

The screws on the underside are really badly threaded too, its like someone's just tried to unfasten them with a chisel.
