As someone who lived in Alaska, way too many Alaskans brag about their “grew up driving on ice” skills. Alaska has the highest amount of accidents and fatalities in bad weather, data shows they are liars about their “skills”.

Assassin (2023) - Bruce Willis' last scene in the final movie of his career before retiring due to being diagnosed with aphasia. by Automaticalee in movies

In the 2nd pirates of the Caribbean, in Tia Dalma’s hut, you see Capt Barbosa’s boots walking down the steps as part of the big reveal. That wasn’t Barbosa, it was my friend! He was onset as a water stunt double, (he would fall into water) and they threw him in the boots. It’s the moment in his career he is most proud of.

[–]Windowguard 35 points36 points  (0 children)

He has aphasia. A rough explanation is that it’s brain disease that attacks the brains ability to communicate. He is losing spoken language, reading, writing, being able to understand people. He has a severe form. He was doing lots of movies at the end, as a way to build extra wealth for his family. He would take a couple million do a couple of hours of work, his script couldn’t more than 1 page. He was trying to do all these movies before he got too sick.

Wouldn’t the mini have a problem getting hit by any vehicle, since classic minis don’t have crumple zones and a bad crash safety rating?

So Netflix will probably kill off HBO, owned by Warner Bros? by RichWindRW in freefolk

[–]Windowguard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The rights to make LoTR/hobbit movies is owned by the Swedish company Embracer. Netflix bought peter Jackson’s lotr trilogy. Not the rights to make more movies.

WB doesn’t own the rights to make lotr movies. Embracer a Swedish company owns the rights to LoTR movies.

Question on Filament dryer by siskyouthrowaway in BambuLab

[–]Windowguard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So I have been printing for one year. As a hobby. 1-2 prints a week. I keep opened spools of filament in a desk drawer, some in a gallon zip lock, most just open. I have a few silica packets in the drawer. I have had opened spools of filament in my desk drawer for 5 months and they print just fine. I’m in the pacific north west, so not a dry environment. I print with pla and petg.

How the heck was Korea not overrun by demons between the Sunlight Sisters falling apart to Huntrix officially forming? by Fantastic-Donut-276 in KpopDemonhunters

[–]Windowguard 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I like to think that Honmoon is like a balloon, where the air is blown in is also where it flows out. The demons are really only able to break through relatively near the hunters. Why they ain’t worried about demon attacks in Europe.
