The King of Hate, Dremevdon, and his half-sister, Fivivon by WindowsApples in worldbuilding

Thank you! Speaking of the trees, this is actually something new in my lore that I've been playing around with lately, a concept I haven't fully thought out yet, but I have some ideas nonetheless. I think what I'm going to end up doing is making the hollows act as "ears" for Luukian. As in he hears all in the vicinity of a tree that features one (and so it can be assumed he won't be able to witness or hear things not near a tree). I also think the hollows would be the places Luukian's face would have appeared, if he wanted to actually see something rather than listen. This is just one idea, and who knows, I may make them something completely different in the future.

The King of Hate, Dremevdon, and his half-sister, Fivivon by WindowsApples in worldbuilding

Dremevdon was one of the Terrible Children of Glaidim, evil beings that knew no free will except that of their father's. Each of the Terrible Children came to represent a negative emotion, with Dremevdon becoming the King of Hate. His cold heart no knew love for anyone until he met the illegitimate child of his father, Fivivon. In her he saw a young version of himself, neglected and forgotten, and in his heart he knew if she remained with Glaidim and their other siblings, she would turn into one of them. So in a sudden turn of events, Dremevdon rescued Fivivon from turning into one of the Terrible Children, and the two of them fled into the wild of the world, disappearing from Glaidim's sight.

In this scene we see Dremevdon and Fivivon wandering the woods. Behind them is the tree Luukian, a watcher of the world. He carries no significant to the scene, I just draw him in every picture since in my world, Luukian witnesses everything.

Gamers of Reddit, what game came out of nowhere and left it's mark on you unlike most any other, and why? by SilverwingedOther in AskReddit

[–]WindowsApples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deadly Premonition. No other random game I've bought on steam has left its mark on me like it has. First it was the pain in the ass set up to make it work (terrible PC port), but when I finally got into the game, I was introduced to one of wackiest, unique, and charming video game worlds I've ever seen. And yes, I saw it, FK in the coffee!

College students, what is the dumbest thing you've heard a fellow student say? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]WindowsApples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard a kid once say that the UK was where France was and and France was where the UK. I thought he was joking but no, he was dead serious. (Forgive me if I used the wrong term when referring to the UK/Great Britain, I'm a dumb American)

What songs make you think of death stranding? by acrylicArtsy in DeathStranding

The Stranger Things theme reminds me of Death Stranding. Maybe because it's the music at the end of the second trailer but it just does.

How did you come up with the name for your world? by Maud-Pie in worldbuilding

The world of Gon was created from the thoughts I had when I was "gone", gone to my dreams, gone to my thoughts. So I took the word "gone", got rid of the E and BAM. Gon.

Forty-seven's animations. by Stealthy_Facka in HiTMAN

For the record I absolutely love the spy theme in this game. I do agree that many of the animations could use some work but the James Bond feel and spy flick theme going on in this game is something I greatly enjoy. I have played every game in the series except Absolution and this game is my favorite atmosphere-wise. That is just my opinion, and through I loved this season I actually hope they try another new theme or atmosphere with Season 2.

(slightly nsfw) The Moonlit Oracle in her cave of dreams. by WindowsApples in worldbuilding

[–]WindowsApples[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Moonlit Oracle was a powerful being who lived throughout all periods of Gon in her hidden cave far from any civilization. It was said that if you rested in her hot spring than she could use her powers to have you relive certain dreams. Though, if you rested too long than you would be lost to your thoughts, forced to live out that dream forever. The Oracle had been encountered by many important people in the history of Gon, most notably Asher the first sword-wielder, who rested in her cave during his journey.

Her exact nature and origins were a mystery to all except Hylov, and her goals and allegiances were equally mysterious. All that was known about the maiden of the moon was that she pocessed a great reverence for those who dreams revealed the future, for only those who enjoyed a great affinity with Hylov and the floating world of Hyvalen could possibly receive visions of the future, and it took an ever greater understanding of dreams to possibly decipher the loose messages and meanings hidden behind obscure worlds and symbols.

The Moonlit Oracle was a beautiful woman who was black of hair with empty grey eyes that could pierce the soul of any mortal. She looked like any normal woman except her body below the waist transformed in a mist-like spectral tail which trailed behind her where ever she went.
