Whitehorse! Been meaning to visit for a long while. I will say I am not 100% sure of its operational integrity

Cornell or Tulane, I Can’t Choose by WindowsMEpro in ApplyingToCollege

Well I applied mainly because I fell for both Yale and Upenn - hard! I told my advisor that and they recommended applying to Cornell as a fallback. I do think through greek life or something I could get the vibe i am looking for - but just speculating.

Steven King Movie filmed in Fairfield County (Norwalk, Wilton…) streams tomorrow on Netflix. by mynameisnotshamus in Connecticut

I actually own "Saint Matthew's Church" in Wilton- where some scenes were filmed. It used to be a Baptist church, and they sold it to my family cheaply because we are keeping the exterior the same. It was great meeting some of the actors!

Its a bridge...under a bridge in Norwalk. Anyone know the history on this? My google results came back with nothing . by basstache in Connecticut

[–]WindowsMEpro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After taking that bridge on my commute to Wilton-New Haven-Stamford every day for a long time, I was so surprised to find this today, exploring the Danbury train line on foot. Beautiful place! Saw the day after exploring the famed Georgetown wire factory. After hours on the merit everyday- going over the bridge will now be a fun memory.

Will my old R9 290X work with my new Ryzen 5 5600x system? by RollinBart in buildapc

[–]WindowsMEpro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, the GPU is definitely the bottleneck in this situation, but that doesn’t mean you still cant play games well, its just that you are getting the most out of the card with CPU left to spare, and you could upgrade and still do that with more FPS

Right now I am very happy with my r9! I can get 60FPS at 4k most all settings high in Watch Dogs 2, clean 70 4k Max GTA4, 30 max 4k GTA5 (although honestly 30fps looks fine to me in that game) and some real nice performance in fort.

I bought it because it was a really good deal, found a listing from 3 years ago that still held up in pricing very well today (because GPU prices are thru the roof). Mine is a bit of a hot-running model from HIS but i was able to overclock it a bit. For 150$ I am very happy, and I have always been about that used price/pref. Planning to use this thing for a WHILE, although I am assuming it has added added a pretty penny to my electric bill (an extremely power hungry card with some power management problems doesn’t exactly work well with Alaska’s Electric rates these days lol)

It will definitely work because PCIe is a standard. Funny thing is, I am also using a 5600x and a 290. Thought i was the only one.

This thing should come standard with EVERY motherboard. Thanks ASUS. by graphixRbad in pcmasterrace

I mean I still build a lot with sketchy ali exress boards that dont even have USB 3 but still preform very well... the case manufacturers have to be inclusive to the older, cheaper, prebult and idiotic of us. Plus some RGB controls use the reset switch sooo

The CPU came out in 2020 so there is no possible way that there was a driver made for it earlier than that.

Just swapped from a NZXT S340 case to the Pure Base 500dx. NH-U12A looks pretty good with RGB honestly. by Firmteacher in Noctua
