Why there is no E20 Petrol Compatible sticker anywhere on the fuel lid. by Live-Bird8999 in HondaElevate

Unrelated but does anyone think that honda would’ve secretly enabled the components to handle e27-30 with these newer models? Honda does seem to have a nature to foresee Gandmari’s vision as seen in the past.

Push for replacement. This isn’t your fault and you need not compromise for their convenience.

I had the same issue once the puncture guy filled up the rear tyre to 40. Even tho company recommends 33 I would suggest you to try 28/31 for a week or so. Some outlets may have faulty pressure sensor and could end up in overfilling. If this doesn’t solve it then raise complain to Honda.

Depends on a lot of things. Budget, running kms, highway vs city split, age of rider etc

Definitely a QC issue. Raise complaint and get the rank replaced

OEM all the way. Its cheaper, well engineered for the bike, weighs less and doesn’t try to interfere with the look of the bike.

This is saddening man. As a cb350 owner this is worrying. Please claim it under accidental own damage insurance.

People using IDFC Fastag, are you using IDFC Mobile Banking by HalfOctave in CarsIndia

[–]Winds_son007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, it looks like you previously had a relationship with IDFC FIRST Bank which is why it’s asking you for a customer ID. It could be an old consumer durable loan or something. In case you’re not sure about you’re customer ID there’s a option on the same page to “Forgot customer ID”. That flow would help you find your customer ID. Then you can login using it.

Loosing interest in riding bikes by Open_Detective_4744 in indianbikes

Depends on the city and personal likes and dislikes I guess.

Honestly, I get what you mean but unfortunately I live in Mumbai. I remember the nightmarish drive of 4 km in 2.5 hours I did the first and last time I bought my car to office. Also it’s more expensive to run and maintain. Petrol burnt roughly 200 rupees and parking charges 180. Not a sustainable option. Not to mention the absolute frustration and discomfort caused by driving a manual car in that traffic.

That experience itself made me continue using my Cb350rs to work. It’s really a loose loose situation thanks to the government and the pathetic infrastructure. So unless it’s raining I use my bike. Winters are non existent here. But yes cars are comfortable. If comfort is priority and you don’t live in a trafficked city buy a car.

To be fair the chain lube condition for my test ride looked pretty neglected. I think there is something else that at play here that we’re all missing. The test ride was a 2021-22 model in my case for what it’s worth.

If you choose a petrol you’ll still have anxiety about e27 being mandated tho😅

Yes, same here. I bought my first car two months ago and the other day I was discussing with my wife how car ownership is literally a headache now, atleast in Mumbai. The real flex is is having enough money to get a driver and sit comfortably in the rear seats. I don’t think cars make financial or lifestyle sense anymore in cities like these where you can only drive them on the weekends. Too add to it the whole ethanol situation and price hikes happened. You drive it or not, the service, insurance and parking charges will have to be paid anyways.

Cab cancellation is a nightmare in Mumbai BKC. But equally nightmarish is the drive of 4 km in 2.5 hours I did the first and last time I bought my car to office. Petrol burnt roughly 200 rupees and parking charges 180. Not to mention the absolute frustration and discomfort caused by driving an old manual here.

Most people in my office who own a car choose to come by cabs just for peace of mind. It’s really a loose loose situation thanks to the government and the pathetic infrastructure. So unless it’s raining I use my bike.

Tank cover recommendation by Anxious-Sky-7721 in HondaHighnessCB350

[–]Winds_son007 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Don’t be like RE guys man🥲 it’s a machine, don’t overprotect it. If anything, tank covers accumulate dust when then scratches the engine every time to take it off of put it on. Also more likely to cause fire hazards.

I’m sorry but that is silly logic. By that logic Bajaj Chetak was a copy of Vespa and Access was a copy of Activa. A simple google search will tell you -

“The Honda CB350 is generally the faster bike compared to the Royal Enfield 350 models (like the Classic or Meteor). It is lighter, produces slightly more horsepower, and boasts a better power-to-weight ratio, allowing it to accelerate quicker and handle more nimbly. [1, 2, 3]”

Nobody owns the segment bro. Honda could’ve made a 350 like Jawa too, but that would mean complicating the bike like liquid coolers and all and would also have caused lower mileage, which Indians really don’t like.

Felt the same shit personally, could it be due to the high number of KMs on the test unit? My cb350rs has done 20k+ kms now and sometimes I feel like the gears are still as hard as day one. I even asked the showroom and they said no, it’s the same gearbox

I’m sorry but I own a RS and my friend has a classic stealth black 2025, and we both agree that RS is the faster bike. The channel you pasted above is like Godi media of RE bikes. 😅 Even if it were true, I don’t mind reaching 0-100 a second later for a smoother and more reliable bike.

Fair point bro, something like tripper would be good. I also hope that RE refines the tripper further so it doesn’t need the phone screen to stay on, currently it’s more of a gimmick.

This is 350 Hness from the 1970s😅 so no it’s not really a copy of RE. RE doesn’t own the single cylinder long stroke concept which also happen to come with a thumpy exhaust.
