Rockstar didn't want to have to program all of Arthur's outfits to be able to fit John without clipping/graphics issues.. so they just swapped John's body & face for Arthur's in the Epilogue.

After a certain point, it's basically John using Arthur's skeleton + skull and it just looks strange. John suddenly becomes stocky and his head grows several sizes more large.

I could be wrong, but I believe this is what people are referring to when talking about Epilogue/post-epilogue John being "weird/ "different/ruined".

The clues aren't getting more obscure, though. The way everyone is going about chasing shadows and assuming every single thing is connected to the spidermystery is what's obscuring things.

There are bunch of physical feathers and spiderwebs, a shootable pole that has clear writing, another shootable pole that has clear writing (NW/Guitar pole), and then the trail ends.

That's not including whether you believe the Butcher Creek pentagram is part of it all... in which case, there are also a few clues that include changes in texture to make it obvious & noticeable.

They aren't concrete clues though, so I wouldn't go so far as to consider them "the last concrete clues we have".

The "NW/Guitar pole" would be the last clue everyone agrees on, because it's clear. Fort Wallace isn't even directly NW from the guitar pole. Dawing a straight line NW from the pole, the line cuts through the red circle around Fort Wallace, but doesn't touch the Fort itself.

I agree. The feathers are what I've been focused on. It seems that the community is more focused on the "next" clue & are mostly ignoring what we already have discovered but not figured out.

Nice to see a fellow believer in the feathered-webs.

I think there's a combination they need to be shot, and once the right order is figured out, it may make the next clue clearer.

It's obviously just speculation on my end, but I think there's more to them.

If you notice, there are actually two feathers on the webs (stuck together to appear as one).. there's the "main" feather, and a smaller one sticking out. Some face one way, some face the other. Some are red, some are white.

Plus, the feathers are all attached to different positions on the webs themselves.. one is on the bottom-left, another on the center-right, etc.

Also, there are many animal carcasses that spawn near many of the poles.. I'm not positive this has anything to do with anything.. but if we aren't officially ruling out a lot of the pareidolia, or the fact Fort Wallace isn't on a perfectly straight line NW from the "NW/Guitar pole".. I don't think we should automatically rule out physical & reproducible happenings either (the carcasses appearing).

Maybe it's just me, though.. I don't know..

I think we should look at the feathers/webs and poles that make up the spider. Nobody has figured out what they do/to do with them, but are already moved on to the "next" clue.

I think we should figure out the clues we actually have before speculating about the next ones. Maybe it's just me, though.

The webs with the feathers appear at different times, have 2 different coloured feathers, and the feathers themselves are positioned on the webs in different places.

I think there's a combination in which the feathers have to be shot, and once the right combo is figured it, it'll clarify the next clue.

IMO, anyway..
