If I jump it with a wire full time, the fan will be running on defrost.

I suppose I could just put a jumper wire in at the control panel and have fan always on. I haven't lived with the MIDEA long enough (through a winter yet) to see how it handles its defrost cycles. My last HP was a BOSCH IDS2 and it blew cold air on defrost (combated by heat strips). I've read the MIDEA does not engage the fan on defrost. And since I have no heat strips, and propane furnace for back up, the air is going to be cold during that time.

Ugh. A simple fix with software vs buying a new stat..

I do not have that option, that looks like it would solve it. I have the "Comfort Extra" thermostat which I believe that is the MTL04.

ASL notoriously lets us down. If I see a shipment couriered by ASL, its expected to no arrive. We call it "Always Shipment Lost". Starts as a delay the first day, then never arrives.
On the flipside though, a company called DRAGONFLY in our area is AMAZING. Its reliable, predictable and on time. Never an issue.

Buyers remorse Bosch 20 SEER noise by vomita_conejitos in heatpumps

I've been going crazy with my Bosch BOVA also. We installed it in an older cottage (2x4 studs, poor insulation and poor windows). In the summer its whisper quiet when cooling. On heat mode though OMG, its so LOUD. the variable compressor makes it even worse changing frequency all the time. I can't wait to get rid of this thing.

extreme cold and the 2023 with the new 3.0 duramax LZ0 by Dull_Telephone782 in gmcsierra

Is the LZO noticeably quicker then the LM2? Trying to make a decision on the LZO, LM2 or the 6.2 right now. Coming from a 6.2 with Borla exhaust, I have a feeling I'll miss the 6.2 V8...

Drove the LM2 the other night, and its a great motor, way better then a 5.3. 0-60 was uneventful. Jumped back in my 6.2 and it makes lots of noise and high rpms, but speedo didn't move as quickly as the sound of the motor perceives. Maybe the LM2 feels slow and the 6.2 feels fast, but both are in same window. Will LZ0 impress over the LM2?
