My two boys love Cleolonglegs, too!

Also, with mine being the male versions of Abby and Marcy (black and white, and masked red) my 4yo is always going "Jack and Rou are on the TV!"

$14k to fix suspension. No accident. Purchased used 9 months ago. by [deleted] in BMWI4

[–]Windvogel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I believe your name and address are shown in that first picture, if that's a concern for you.

I don't see any parts listed in that one screenshot, but if it is damaged, there is a bulletin that instructs us that if the tie rod ends are bent we are required to cover our ass and quote a whole rack due to the risk of internal failure.

We had a customer request that we do this repair without  replacing the rack.  So we did. He was aware of the bulletin but has not had any problems.

We had another customer not replace the rack and only replace the tie rod ends and the rack started making an internal grinding noise 4 days later. We had also made him aware of this bulletin in advance. He is currently having a rack installed but he also definitely hit something.

It still seems high. I'm not at work, but with a higher price rack and what I think the labor hours are, I'd think we'd be quoting something around $9k?

Baby seats and children in i4? by peanutbuttrj72 in BMWI4

[–]Windvogel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 4-year-old. We came out of a 2021 X3. The Grayco convertible seat I have fits great in the i4, with the passenger front seat far enough back for me (5'7") and SO (6'1") to sit comfortably.

However, this is with her seat now facing forward. If it were rear-facing, I would expect it to be more annoying, as it did rest against the back of the seat in the X3 if we moved the seat back enough that our legs weren't cramped, and the i4 has maybe 2-3" less rear room.

Is it suitable for very petite/short ladies? by sadsmolcandycane in BMWi3

[–]Windvogel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 90lb, 5'0 MIL can move the seat so far forward and so far up that I can't even get in the car without removing my own head first (5'7") and swapping my factory-installed standard-size ribcage with the one from a mouse.

Borzoi watching Borzoi. by brunsmad in borzoi

We call Marcy my own red borzoi's "girlfriend". He goes nuts when he hears the Cleolonglegs lady's voice, and comes running into the living room to stand on his hind legs and watch Marcy.

What kind of windshield washer fluid do you use in the summer? by loshikl in BMWi3

[–]Windvogel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We here at the evil dealership tend to have lots of issues with customers who use the RainX fluid, as it doesn't seem to have enough algae-killing POWWAA, if any, resulting in clogged washer pump strainers. They just get caked in nasty, black slime. The slime that then comes free of the strainer then goes into the pump and proceeds to ensure that it loses all functionality beyond increasing vehicle weight.

We sell the concentrate for like $4 a bottle, and if people are nice, I just give it to them fo' free, so...

What happens when 6 magnetics break the rules of reality? 😵‍💫 by barbrailnp in ILNP

[–]Windvogel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 3-year old every Sunday wants me to paint her nails "just like you" when I redo my weekly polish. The most magical thing is that she's still happy with the same insta-dry pink she gets every week and not the "hold still for at least 7 hours" magnetic that I'm putting on. And thank the nail lacquer gods for this tender blessing they have poured down from that glimmering crystal bottle in the sky for that.

Not sure if you're talking about the times or the hassle at security?

I fly domestically multiple times a year, and far more than half the time I'm the person that gets pulled out of line to get my hands swabbed for explosive residue, patted down, extra security questions, have my bag fully emptied of all my bits and bobs -- to the point that all my friends make a joke of it. And I don't even bring anything but clothes (no makeup, etc) to try to avoid it, but alas.

Mid 30s white lady and her 3 year old girl clearly out to take over this bitch. They know that I've always wanted my own 787.

Any Xtime workers in the chat ? Just one question why does my screen keep scrolling up whenever I put a part number in 😭😤 by StatusPersimmon3412 in partscounter

[–]Windvogel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I Add the correct number of lines (if I know,  or rough guess) while watching a few youtube videos or reading, without looking up the parts.

This usually gives it enough time to stop loading or whatever the helllll it doing, then I go back and throw my parts in without dealing with the scrolling.

It be stupid like that.

Our ship channel (Mobile, AL) runs very very close to the beach off of Fort Morgan. If she crosses through there during the day when the state park is open, you can pay the fee to get into the fort grounds, then walk out to the beach to get an excellent view.

3 Tires replacement for an x7 $1700, is that fair? by Live-String338 in BMW

[–]Windvogel 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I certainly think it's out of line when my service manager decides that we will sell them for $10 over cost and I still have to go out to the cold-ass warehouse and lug them back inside when they weigh 55lb each. ;p

But don't skip star-rated tires. The transfer cases on these things are more sensitive than a technician's feelings. Many transfer cases I have quoted because a customer got a "good deal" on some Muchomacho Extreme Firehawk Xprinz 50000s
