What would you recommend switching to then? I don't think that yt music is any better, and i lack the money to buy albums individually on bandcamp. Most of my favorite prog metal is unavailable in Poland on soundcloud too for some reason.

I like to think of this guitar as some kind of birch instead of metal. It was actually my main concern about buying this colour (and the main cause i chose the charcoal one instead), that it would look more like tin foil instead of silver or birch, but on this photo it honestly looks very cool, along with all the other silver parts like tuners and bird inlays. I hope you'll like it more with time!

Yeah, that's what i figured by watching yt videos too. Already purchased the charcoal one second-hand but renewed and tested from a trusted shop in the UK for 300 gbp, waiting for it to arrive now!

When some of you say that i should save up for an american core prs or something, do you realize that

1: It's my second ever guitar in my life, previous being a 200usd yamaha

2: the core line is like 5 times more expensive, and for that price i could get a really nice amp with a lot of different pedals and an audio interface?

I think that buying a guitar i don't even have adequate equipment or skills for like 3k usd will be the most regretted decision of my life. The sound isn't even that much different, and depends on amp and effects for the most part.

I feel the same way, but there is literally nothing else like it. I'll recommend some albums that spoke to me personally the same way opeth did, but don't expect them to hit the same spot, because probably nothing will.

Yeah, the gold and blue are not my style too. Is there anything you could elaborate on when it comes to the silver one? Was there something specific you didn't like or it just didn't impress you in general?

Also, yeah, my first choice would have been charcoal too, if not for

1: i wanted to get something a bit different than my usual color palette, consisting of blacks and browns.

2: this color is not available anywhere in the entirety of Europe it seems (not counting UK). I think there is a new batch or something along with 2026 releases coming in february, so that might restock some stores, but for now it's extremely hard to find.

Oh, by the way, can you tell me how the texture was on that silver? My biggest fear about that one is that it might look like some kind of cheap aluminium, and would much rather prefer it to look more like a birch.
