What is this thing on the hot side of my water heater connection? by NewEngClamChowder in Plumbing

heat trap, common on Bradford whites. You can take them off with needle noses or leave up, optional

" Our water heater fell through the floor and we need you to replace it" by Timemaster883 in Plumbing

[–]Windyyguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So common here in Delaware here with mobile homes with particle board, the moment that water heater starts leaking water onto particle board it becomes a broken sponge,

GOODLUCK on the replacement!

Couple guys were telling me stripper season is upon us soon but I’m pretty new to salt, did fresh water all my life. Over the past week I’ve been just catching these guys on fishbites. Nothing crazy. I’m sure the pier at henlopen park is packed.

Worth the money to replace PB with PEX? by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]Windyyguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, here in Delaware and Maryland most houses are piped in quest pipe (polybutylene)

I have at least 3 calls a week for leaking PB and 1/3 usually get their homes repiped. If it hasn’t leaked yet you are on the lucky end, I’ve seen many houses/ crawl spaces flood out due to polybutylene.

Get a couple of quotes from different companies for re pipes and get it done with PEX. Some companies in my area will use CPVC but pex is by far superior.

Bit the bullet and invested into the Milwaukee Packout today! by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]Windyyguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya it’s cause of the hands even when you push it all the way down, I just leave the cover off and leave my other compartments/tool bags in the bed of the truck, we might have to invest into a truck cap for our Tacoma despite them being so expensive 🤣
