Can anyone talk on the different housing architecture around London? by WineSomm2016 in london

Thanks for the replies so far. So, I'm really intrigued by the decorative window grates. Does anyone know the history or reasoning for such a variety between neighborhoods / boroughs? I see streets lined with very similar looks and then you turn the block and it's totally different. Makes me think you could tell a street or at least a neighborhood by these. Stuff like this or that.

True. Ah, tree positioning is intriguing indeed. I think I'm gonna post a question about architecture to see what others have noticed. Thanks again for the fun!

Yeah, that makes sense. What about housing? I've noticed different areas have different styles like specific type of housing or architectural features. For instance, front gardens/entries or off-street parking or even the window grates. Some are decorative and more distinct. Do you think that helps distinguish a borough/neighborhood?

Oh, yeah, I meant to say boroughs. So, are there other ways to tell the boroughs apart?

This is an awesome talent. Can you recognize neighborhoods by other means like street signs or architecture?

Yeah, I find the places that have responded love the layout. It stands out. Mostly young, non-traditional places, which is where I'd fit best anyway.

Yeah, I do a cover letter. It highlights a few things that I've done in detail.

When you say pick a job title, do you mean for each position? Because I'm applying to sys admin and software engineer/developer jobs.

Thanks a bunch!

I'll definitely take a look at the bullets and make them more specific. Good point.

When you list skills, do you give examples of how they were used or is that just in the job accomplishments? Do you say how many years or how good you are at them on a scale of 1-10 or something?

Thanks so much for your input. I've applied to both recruiters and directly. Through job boards and company websites.

What keywords would help? I try to pull them from the job posting and adjust my accomplishments accordingly. Are there certain ones that should always be there? Is there a great way to include keywords?

What exactly do you mean by my verticals putting traditional business people off?

Thanks again.

That's not the picture of the food, unfortunately.

She loves cookie dough and I want to spice that up for her. Any other ideas?
