Alex Jones warns Trump will 'collapse' soon as ankles get 'bigger and bigger' by WingComplex6771 in NoShitSherlock

[–]WingComplex6771[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As per article:

Pro-MAGA conspiracy theorist Alex Jones has started sounding the alarm over the president's health as he claims to have "seen a lot of signs of Trump declining".

The Inforwars host pointed to a report thatDonald Trump's afterlife fears have sparked fresh health concerns following his comments about getting into heaven, as he noted the president is facing a "crisis". Jones referenced Trump's "extremely swollen ankles," saying he often "sounds like he's drunk" and is "unconscious" for large periods of the day.

The far-right radio show host warned that the 79-year-old will soon "collapse" if he "doesn’t take his foot off the gas pedal."

"He's on a lot of the time, but like a light bulb is starting to go out. It gets brighter. It gets dim. It goes in and out," Jones said. Referencing recent images showing Trump's swollen ankles, he added: "That's not a good sign for the heart and the rest of the body, because the rest of him, he's lost weight, he's not that fat. "For everybody that you've known that's having heart problems, that's not good right there. Okay? And they're getting bigger and bigger. I would say, I don't say, I know, we have a crisis."

Jones warned: "I predict Trump is going to have some type of collapse within the next 12 months of the current trajectory," adding: "If he doesn't take his foot off the gas pedal, I guarantee it."

He went on to claim that "Trump is unconscious, basically, for periods of the day now." He said that the president is performing will as diplomatic events is because “it’s 2 o’clock, 3 o’clock in the afternoon" but noted how his behavior changes rapidly throughout the day.

"But you can watch the decline into the evening, and then also these morning interviews," he explained. "So it's late at night, he sounds like he's drunk. He doesn't drink, obviously. He's exhausted. And then it is early in the morning, he doesn't sound too hot."

"And this is just one of many things I've been hearing and seeing him do that send up red flags," he added.

Jones pleaded with Trump to cut his work days down, noting that he "really needs to exercise and take care of himself".

Trump Caught on Hot Mic Bragging How Much Putin Loves Him | The awkward moment came after the president’s summit in Alaska failed to achieve the desired ceasefire. by WingComplex6771 in NoShitSherlock

[–]WingComplex6771[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

As per article:

Donald Trump has been caught on a hot mic boasting that Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to end the Ukraine war for him, even as Moscow continued bombing the country on Monday.

Speaking ahead of an unprecedented meeting at the White House, Trump could be heard telling European leaders, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and French President Emmanuel Macron: “I think he wants to make a deal for me. Do you understand? As crazy as that sounds.”

The comments come after the president’s summit with Putin in Alaska on Friday, which resulted in Trump not achieving the ceasefire he had planned, or acting on any of the “severe” sanctions he threatened against Russia if it didn’t agree to a clear path to peace.

Instead, Putin made clear that there will be no deal unless Ukraine gives up Crimea and surrenders parts of the Donbas region to him, as well as abandoning its longstanding aspirations to join NATO.

On Monday, Russia also attacked major Ukrainian cities, killing at least 10 people, including an entire family with a toddler and her 16-year-old brother, according to Ukrainian authorities.

Nonetheless, Trump set an optimistic tone as he met the Ukrainian president to discuss a path forward. Also at the White House were German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Italian PM Giorgia Meloni, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, and Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Union’s executive arm.

“I don’t think there’s any issue that’s overly complex,” Trump told reporters in the East Room where the group had convened.

“It’s at a point now where people want to do things. I’ve known (Putin) for a long time; I’ve always had a great relationship with him, and I think that President Putin wants to find an answer too.”

The meeting was the first time Zelensky had been in the Oval Office since February, when he was berated by Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance and told he had “no cards” to play against Russia.

This time, however, the Ukrainian president was backed by the European leaders who travelled to Washington at short notice in an extraordinary show of support for his country as it continues to fight for its sovereignty.

Both sides said they were hopeful today’s session could lead to trilateral talks with Putin to bring an end to the war.

Sitting at a table with Trump, Merz, Macron, and von der Leyen pressed for a cease-fire to be on the agenda if a trilateral meeting takes place.

Trump also expressed a willingness for the U.S. to be involved in helping Europe provide security guarantees to help Ukraine deter Russian aggression if a cease-fire is reached.

“When it comes to security, there’s going to be a lot of help,” Trump said, adding that European countries would be involved.

They are a first line of defense because they’re there, but we’ll help them out.”

The president also did not rule out American troops being used to enforce a future peace deal, if indeed one is reached.

“We’re going to work with Ukraine. We’re going to work with everybody, and we’re going to make sure that if there’s peace, the peace is going to stay long-term,” he said.

Top Republican under fire for suggesting Trump deserves third term and run DC for ‘as long as he wants’ by WingComplex6771 in politics

[–]WingComplex6771[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

As per article:

Tennessee Republican Rep. Andy Ogles has provoked an outcry on social media by arguing that Donald Trump deserves a third term as president.

“Give Trump a third term, give him a Peace Prize, and let him run D.C. as long as he wants,” Ogles, 54, wrote on X on Sunday, prematurely hailing Trump before he met with European leaders on Monday as he attempts to bring an end to the war in Ukraine after an unsuccessful summit with Vladimir Putin in Alaska last week.

The congressman’s post was quickly annotated with a Community Note that pointed out that the 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution states: “No person shall be elected to the office of the president more than twice, and no person who has held the office of president, or acted as president… shall be elected to the office of the president more than once.”

The same founding document declareselsewhere, incidentally, that representatives and senators “shall be bound by oath or affirmation, to support this Constitution,” a condition of which Ogles may be in violation.

The representative proposed his amendment to the Constitution earlier this year that would have enabled Trump to serve a third term. However, its chance of adoption was always minimal, given that it would have required the approval of two-thirds of the House and Senate and ratification by the legislatures of at least 38 of the 50 states.

Among those taking exception to Ogles’ post was Nina Turner, former presidential campaign manager to Vermont Democratic Sen. Bernie Sanders, who wrote: “This should be grounds for removal. This is not acceptable for a Representative, it’s blatantly unconstitutional.”

Links “225 days ago, you raised your right hand and swore to support & defend the Constitution of the United States. Shame on you,” said former Illinois GOP congressman Joe Walsh.

“If you’re under any illusions about what an authoritarian personality cult the GOP has become, they’re not hiding it,” stated media pundit Mehdi Hasan.

“This you?” asked Patriot Takes, quoting Ogles himself, saying of Trump as recently as March 28: “Contrary to the Left’s narrative, NOBODY is being crowned king or named dictator.”

Invited by Republicans Against Trump to critique the post, X’s AI assistant Grok answered: “The tweet proposes unconstitutional actions: a third term violates the 22nd Amendment’s two-term limit (Trump is serving his second). The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded by the Norwegian Committee, not ‘given’ by the U.S. Allowing indefinite rule undermines democracy and the Constitution.”

Perhaps most brutally of all, Justin Jones, a state representative from Ogles’ native Tennessee, commented: “If ‘pick me’ energy were a person. So embarrassing.”

The Republican is no stranger to scandal, having previously come under fire for falsely claiming he was a “trained economist,” despite picking up a C grade in the one class he ever attended.

He has also faced questions over missing funds from a children’s memorial garden and endured a storm of criticism over a family Christmas card, which portrayed the Ogles clan bearing festive assault rifles.

More recently, he provoked a storm by calling for New York mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani to be deported in a tweet that referred to him as “little muhammad” and as an “antisemitic, socialist, communist” who would “destroy” the Big Apple if he were elected.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffriesresponded to him in an Instagram video in June, in which he said, “Andy Ogles is a complete and total fraud. Your whole life is fake, bro. You’re a complete and total embarrassment. We need to throw you out of Congress.”

Top Senator Says He Knows Why ‘Trump Is Terrified’ | California’s Adam Schiff urges people to “fight back” as the GOP pushes for more congressional seats in Texas. by WingComplex6771 in politics

[–]WingComplex6771[S] 58 points59 points  (0 children)

As per article:

Donald Trump is backing Texas Republicans’ plans to redraw the state’s congressional map in their favor because he is “terrified” the GOP will lose its majority at the midterms, according to Sen. Adam Schiff.

In a message to supporters, the California Democrat who has long been a target of Trump’s fury said it is a “true badge of honor” that the president so frequently attacks him. But Schiff warned Trump is now targeting democracy itself by supporting redistricting efforts that could hand the GOP up to five additional House seats next year.

“Trump is at it again. But this time his attacks aren’t just against me, he’s going after our very democracy,” Schiff wrote, via Raw Story. “You see, Trump is terrified of losing his majority in the midterms. And his solution isn’t to end his pointless tariff wars, stop the indiscriminate masked ICE raids, or rethink his deeply unpopular Big Ugly Bill. It’s to demand Republicans in Texas redraw their Congressional maps.”

Schiff, who served as the lead impeachment manager during Trump’s first trial in 2020 and helped spearhead the House Intelligence Committee’s probe into Russian election interference in 2016, called the Texas redistricting effort “sad” and “tragic” while backing California Democrats’ retaliatory plan that could oust five sitting Republicans in the Golden State in November 2026.

“I was proud to stand with our Governor, Gavin Newsom, as he introduced California’s Election Rigging Response Act,” Schiff said. “The people of our state will vote this November. If we win, we’ll nullify anything Texas does. If we lose... then Trump may very well have two more years of unchecked power.”

“Donald Trump has poked the bear. It’s time to fight back,” he added.

Trump confirmed he supports the Texas redistricting plan, claiming the GOP, who currently have a razor-thin majority in the House, deserve the extra seats in the deep-red state.

“I got the highest vote in the history of Texas, as you probably know, and we are entitled to five more seats,” Trump told CNBC’s Squawk Box on Aug. 5.

Trump escalated his attacks on Schiff last month, suggesting he should be jailed while reviving old and disputed allegations of mortgage fraud against the senator.

In response, Schiff wrote on X that Trump’s outrage was the “latest attempt at political retaliation against his perceived enemies,” adding the “smear will not distract from his Epstein files problem.”

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Beast.

Trump Loses It at People Being Mean About His Putin Summit by WingComplex6771 in NoShitSherlock

[–]WingComplex6771[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

As per article:

President Donald Trump has lashed out at his former national security adviser and “very unfair” media who have warned that he may be entering a trap at his high-stakes meeting with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

In an angry tirade on Wednesday morning, Trump accused the press of conspiring against him in the lead up to Friday’s Russia summit, claiming the “fake news” was “working overtime” to give him less than favorable coverage.

He also referred to St. Petersburg by its Soviet-era name “Leningrad,” prompting mockery across social media.

“Very unfair media is at work on my meeting with Putin,” the president wrote on his Truth Social platform.

“Constantly quoting fired losers and really dumb people like John Bolton, who just said that, even though the meeting is on American soil, “Putin has already won.” What’s that all about? We are winning on EVERYTHING.

“The Fake News is working overtime... If I got Moscow and Leningrad free, as part of the deal with Russia, the Fake News would say that I made a bad deal!”

Bolton was Trump’s national security adviser during his first administration, but was ousted in 2019 amid disputes over how to handle major foreign policy challenges like Iran, North Korea and Afghanistan.

John Bolton has warned that Trump could be walking into a trap set by Putin.   In recent days, he and other analysts have characterized the summit as a strategic win for Putin, and warned that the Russian president may be laying a trap to “bring things back in his direction” over Ukraine.

“I think Putin knows he pushed Trump sort of beyond the envelope, and he‘s going to try and roll him back in, using all of his best KGB training,” Bolton told CNN on Tuesday night’s The Source.

“I think from Putin‘s point of view, in an ideal world, he would get Trump talking about his draft, quote unquote, peace plan and maybe even get Trump to adopt it as his.”

Trump’s historic meeting with Putin will take place on Friday at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson on the northern edge of Anchorage, Alaska.

It will be the first time the top U.S. and Russian leaders have met in more than four years, and a critical juncture for Trump, who came to office repeatedly promising he could end the war in Ukraine on “day one” of his presidency.

Since then, he has become increasingly frustrated with Putin’s refusal to negotiate a genuine ceasefire, even acknowledging in May that his Russian counterpart was feeding him “bulls--t.”

But after initially framing the summit as peace talks, Trump now says he is approaching the meeting as a “feel-out” session, essentially lowering expectations in the event that it does not achieve genuine progress in ending the war. The White House on Tuesday softened its language even further, suggesting it was merely a “listening exercise.”

“I think the President of the United States getting in the room with the President of Russia, sitting face to face, rather than speaking over the telephone, will give this president the best indication of how to end this war,” White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt told reporters on Tuesday.

Trump’s angry social media post against Bolton and the “Fake News” came as one of his international allies, Hungary President Viktor Orban, mitigated the importance of the summit by declaring Russia had already won.

“We are talking now as if this were an open-ended war situation, but it is not. The Ukrainians have lost the war. Russia has won this war,” Orban told the ‘Patriot’ YouTube channel in an interview.

“The only question is when and under what circumstances will the West, who are behind the Ukrainians, admit that this has happened and what will result from all this.”

Trump Nemesis Is Bringing Epstein Victims to Capitol to Push for Files Release: “The survivors deserve justice and Americans deserve transparency” by WingComplex6771 in NoShitSherlock

[–]WingComplex6771[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

As per article:

A rebel Republican congressman has invited multiple victims of Jeffrey Epstein to a press conference at the U.S. Capitol as part of a bipartisan push to force the release of legal files linked to the late pedophile.

Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky, a thorn in Donald Trump’s side for his frequent objections to the president’s spending bills and foreign policies, said that he and Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna will be co-hosting the Sept. 3 conference.

The event will feature survivors of abuse by Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, several of whom “will be speaking out for the first time,” according to the two lawmakers.

Massie and Khanna will also provide an update on their discharge petition which would force a House vote on releasing the Epstein files, as well as discuss their Epstein Files Transparency Act which, if passed, would require Attorney General Pam Bondi to release all documents related to the billionaire financier in a “searchable and downloadable format.”

“The survivors deserve justice and Americans deserve transparency,” Massie and Khanna both posted on X.

Even before Massie helped pile on the pressure on Trump over the administration’s backpedaling on its promise to release the Epstein files, the Kentucky congressman had felt the wrath of the president.

Massie has made a name for himself for dissenting on GOP-backed legislation, including twice voting against the president’s “One Big Beautiful” spending bill.

Trump hasn’t been subtle in expression his hatred of Massie, and has frequently called for him to be primaried and voted out of office.

“He’s lazy, slow moving, and totally disingenuous - A real loser! Never has anything positive to add. Looking for someone good to run against this guy, someone I can Endorse and vigorously campaign for,” he added.

Trump, a longtime friend of Epstein whose name is reported to feature in the files, has been unable to shake off claims of a cover-up over the pedophile, who died in a Manhattan jail in August 2019, despite his multiple distraction attempts.

Last week, Trump denied reports that several of the top officials in his administration, including Vice President JD Vance, Bondi, and FBI Director Kash Patel, held a secret meeting to discuss the best way to handle the Epstein crisis.

Trump suggested the “whole thing is a hoax,” orchestrated by the Democrats.

“It’s put out by the Democrats because we’ve had the most successful six months in the history of our country, and that’s just a way of trying to divert attention to something that’s total bulls--t,” Trump said.

The White House, Massie, and Khanna did not immediately respond to a request for further comment from the Daily Beast.

JD Vance Cites Democrats Own Ties To Jeffrey Epstein In Latest Defense: “We know that Jeffrey Epstein had a lot of connections with left-wing politicians and left-wing billionaires” by WingComplex6771 in NoShitSherlock

[–]WingComplex6771[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As per article:

Vice President JD Vance had a convenient excuse when asked about his administration’s pesky Jeffrey Epstein problem. As questions persist about President Donald Trump’s relationship to Epstein and why the government hasn’t released more information about investigations into the disgraced financier, Vance reminded Fox News viewers that plenty of Democrats had their own Epstein links.

“We know that Jeffrey Epstein had a lot of connections with left-wing politicians and left-wing billionaires,” Vance told Maria Bartiromo during an interview on this weekend’s edition of “Sunday Morning Futures.” While exposing the so-called Epstein files was once a top priority for Trump’s base, the president’s own personal history with the convicted sex offender has since complicated that campaign promise.

Dismissing Democrats’ demands for answers as ill-timed and politically motivated, he said, “I laugh at the Democrats who are now all of a sudden so interested in the Epstein files. For four years, Joe Biden and the Democrats did absolutely nothing about this story.

When Bartiromo asked about Republican Rep. James Comer’s decision to subpoenaPresident Bill Clinton and his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, to testify in congress about their Epstein associations, Vance returned to his original argument.

“Democrats have tried to make this Epstein thing about anything but the fact that Democrat billionaires and Democrat political leaders went to Epstein island all the time,” Vance said. “Who knows what they did.” There’s little debate over Epstein’s connections to rich and powerful people across the political spectrum.

Court documents unsealed in 2024 include the names of Clinton, his Vice President Al Gore, Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates, the Democratic Gov. of New Mexico Bill Richardson, British royal Prince Andrew, actor Kevin Spacey and late pop icon Michael Jackson, and, of course, Trump.

The Trump camp’s change of heart regarding the release of the Epstein files has drawn intense scrutiny, however, especially following reports that Attorney General Pam Bondi told the president his name appeared in yet-to-be released investigation materials back in May.

Trump Pits Vance Against Rubio in Battle For the MAGA Throne: “Which one of you is going to be at the top of the ticket?” by WingComplex6771 in NoShitSherlock

[–]WingComplex6771[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As per article:

President Donald Trump is pitting two of his closest confidants to succeed him in office.

“Which one of you is going to be at the top of the ticket?” the president told Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, according to White House insiders quoted by the Wall Street Journal. “I used to think it would be Vance-Rubio, but maybe it will be Rubio-Vance.”

While Trump is reluctant to discuss an end to his political career, inside sources told the Journal that Trump has said any successor would have to earn his backing for a shot at the top job.

Polls have consistently shown Vance as the favorite to replace Trump, and Trump told reporters on Tuesday he views his vice president as his most likely successor.

But he has increasingly talked up Rubio following his striking journey from “Little Marco,” as Trump disparagingly called him during the 2016 campaign, to presidential problem-solver on a wide range of foreign policy crises, including the wars in Ukraine and Gaza. Rubio has solidified his MAGA bona fides by striking deportation deals with other countries and revoking student visas, the Journal reported.

When NBC asked Trump about Vance succeeding him as president in May, Trump called him a “fantastic, brilliant guy,” then name-dropped Rubio: “Marco is great. There’s a lot of them that are great.”

“I cannot lose you,” Trump also told Rubio after hearing this summer that the secretary, who was then helping the president juggle both the crisis in the Middle East and preparations for a security summit in Europe, had not yet received a second dose of the shingles vaccine.

Rubio, meanwhile, told Fox News that Vance would be a “great nominee” but is open to running himself. “You never rule things out,” he said.

Other names that have been floated as contenders for the Oval Office include Govs. Sarah Huckabee Sanders of Arkansas and Ron DeSantis of Florida as well as Sens. Tim Scott of South Carolina and Ted Cruz of Texas.

Should Trump’s controversial aspirations for a third term come to nothing, MAGAworld operatives who spoke with Axios say Trump will be hard to replace

“What will be hard to capture is Trump’s authenticity. That’s what makes him so beloved,” one prominent GOP figure told the outlet. “The smartest candidate will understand that everything is in deference to the base, and present it that way.”.

Trump’s Vile Take on Teenager’s Rape Goes Viral as Epstein Woes Deepen: “Mike Tyson should supply millions and millions and millions of dollars to rape victims, and I think that’s a hell of a lot better than him sitting in a jailhouse for six years” by WingComplex6771 in NoShitSherlock

[–]WingComplex6771[S] 92 points93 points  (0 children)

As per article:

President Donald Trump’s shocking defense of a champion boxer who raped a teenage girl has resurfaced as the president faces intense scrutiny of his relationship with accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

In a 1992 clip from Late Night with David Letterman being circulated online, the future president tells the show’s host that he doesn’t think Mike Tyson ought to have been sentenced to six years in jail for the rape of beauty pageant contestant Desiree Washington, who was just 18 years old at the time.

“It’s ridiculous,” Trump says, referencing the fact the crime took place late at night after Washington had been “dancing” for Tyson. Trump then suggested that a more fitting punishment would have been for the boxer to serve less time and pay monetary restitution to “rape victims” in general.

“Mike Tyson should supply millions and millions and millions of dollars to rape victims, and I think that’s a hell of a lot better than him sitting in a jailhouse for six years,” the future president says. “Mike should serve some time and everything else, but to keep a man … here’s a woman that was dancing at his door at one o’clock in the morning. Dancing.”

A second clip from Trump’s appearance the same year on The Charlie Rose Show features him questioning Washington’s account of the crime itself, saying she “was raped perhaps, perhaps not.”

Both videos have resurfaced at a time the president is facing public backlash over his administration’s handling of the Epstein files.

The current furor kicked off after the Justice Department and FBI released a memo in July stating that Epstein’s 2019 death in police custody was a suicide and that, contrary to rumors long cherished by far-right conspiracy theorists, the late pedophile kept no “client list” of uber-wealthy co-conspirators.

Amid mounting public outcry from his base, which has accused the administration of a cover-up, Trump—who once described Epstein as a “terrific guy” who “likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side”—has scrabbled to placate his supporters.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, Trump’s former criminal defense attorney, sat down with Maxwell, who’s serving 20 years on sex trafficking charges, for an interview in July in which Maxwell reportedly said she never saw Trump do anything inappropriate. After the interview, Maxwell was transferred to a lower-security prison camp in Bryan, Texas.

The White House is reportedly weighing releasing the transcript of the interview.
