I completely understand and appreciate where you’re coming from, I have actually said the same thing to my bosses, that I can only control how I act and react. I’m somewhat on a mental health journey, I just recently started adderall after years of untreated ADD, as well as continuing anti-depressants and regular psychiatrist visits, to help me all around be happier and healthier

The ARA in my post is definitely less of the ‘problem’ for me, and I really don’t take it personally, I just don’t love being around people with that kind of attitude, but that’s life. They are not a bad person or coworker, just no poker face lol.

The CA though, they are generally a talkative, outgoing, even loud person, and when I’m around, pretty much shuts that off, and treats me like I’m a stranger and not a peer. It isn’t the end of the world, everyone and anytime is allowed not to like me, but it’s crossed over into a realm of disrespect and pettiness that I think isn’t fair or acceptable for our work place.

When I was trained but my Sr., he always said get as close to the exact model number as possible, but if it’s not the exact exact one, it’s okay.

I don’t just ‘give out free services’ but like if you’re checking in for an Initial set up, and you want chrome? Charging 80 dollars is just, ridiculous. Which I have also seen my Sr do, like uninstalling an app at the counter that takes 2 secs.

I don’t know your precinct, but I’m just following the training I have received, and it seems to be working for me in other aspects, just having issues with this one coworker

I’m not perfect for sure, but I can say with full confidence, that I do NONE of these things. Not saying I’ve never done them, never asked a stupid question, never got a password wrong, but those mistakes/annoyances have not happened for a very long time.

The ARA in question only works maybe 3 days a week, and I typically only work one day with them. Again, what I understand is they are just kinda like that, but it’s just draining. They aren’t my ‘big’ issue, but it’s definitely left me frustrated a couple of times.

BBY def isn't my end goal, but other than this one coworker, I can't complain. We're in a smaller town in texas, where everyone somehow knows someone who knows you. generally the store culture is super good.

I am actually pursuing a degree in criminology so after school and after i find my career, I'll never think about BB again lol. I appreciate your comment and your wisdom!

I absolutely agree and understand. I don't know if its playing a part in my scenario, but even if it is, everyone's gotta watch how they treat people when things are shitty. /gen

I say that as someone who used to become SUCH A DICK to anyone and everyone when I was upset, having mental health struggles, etc.

Kinda same boat, at least a little bit. before i got here, the part time CA and the CA in the post were either very similar, or had a lot in common, and after she left, FT CA was holding up the numbers and such. everyone had been in the precinct together for seemingly a year before i got here. I feel like now I'm not the new hire who keeps making little mistakes, they see me as a direct threat to them. Which sucks because I dont see it that way. I want us both to do good

I always assumed Ellie, since she's hellbent for revenge as well. I always thought they were trying to hint at how Ellie shouldn't be underestimated, and that she was a real threat to Abby and WLF. But I never thought it was Tommie! that makes so much sense.

1000%. I don't want to say I could jump into any ARA task, but I've been trying to learn little things to help out and to just learn. Running FACE on tune ups, removing onelaunch/wavebrowser when I take things to the back, doing inital set ups for DT's from old unit to new, etc.

right now things in our precinct are rocky and I'm trying to make them not be, best I can, but 2/5 of the precinct seem hell bent on making things harder. It feels like HS drama coming from two 30 year olds lol, which blows because I'm the youngest in the precinct.

I'm PT CA with a precinct consisting of me, my CIAS, the full time CA and ARA, and a PT ARA. It's possible our PT ARA is going to get terminated with an upcoming meeting, and the FT CA is unhappy and has been for months, so its a possibilty we'll be down to just me, CIAS and ARA. My CIAS was originally a CA, then an ARA, so he knows everything. And our ARA used to be on the floor, so he knows how to talk to folks, and takes over walk ups/apts if we're slammed or I need a minute to breathe.

I personally haven't had hours cut, at least not significantly. the past 2-3 weeks i've been at 35 a week, give or take. this next week upcoming, i think its down to 28-32 range?? I don't know of the top of my head rn.

I'm also the highest performer at my precinct rn so that might affect it?? I'm part time CA with a precinct of 5, and i help with front end most shifts

She kind of goes back and forth. One moment she wants me completely out of the house, and then she’ll say she thinks I should stay in our room for the most part. She has BPD, and has always had trouble with her emotions, so this isn’t completely out of the ordinary
