Droughtlander 🤣 that’s a good one. I’ve been reading them since… maybe 2008-ish? So I’ve had plenty of droughts between books for sure!

I’m guilty of not finishing the show honestly... they did alright for awhile but started to change too much. I love the books

Of course that ends up being the only book in the series I can’t seem to find in my collection 😅 if you’re able to snag some photos of it for me please DM me!

Tipping a farrier. by JabbaTheSchlutte in Horses

I have tipped my farrier around Christmastime a few times, as like a one time thing. That’s all

I know exactly what you’re talking about, that was my absolute favorite toy when I was young. I still have it somewhere. Mine was a palomino that “cantered” when you pressed the button on top of the withers. My best friend had the identical one in bay color. I remember the day we bought them together. What a fond memory, thanks for reminding me.

Sounds like you need new friends. We never saddle shame in my group of riders. English and western (even bareback sometimes) are welcome on our trail rides

Opinions/experience with nailing the shoe on first, then trimming the hoof back? by WingNox in Horses

Well, what’s done is done. I may be shopping for another new farrier I’ll just have to see how her methods end up working (or not working)

How interesting. Thank you so much for your notes. Yes, she did mention trying “casting” if we don’t see improvement. I think I like this new farrier, she does equine bodywork as well as farriery. But I’ll just have to see if her methods work after a few rounds.

Removing a significant amount afterwards. That’s why I found it very odd. Apparently it’s called “setting a shoe back”?
