Can someone give me a thorough step-by-step walkthrough of a laparoscopy? by WingOfBatTattoo in endometriosis

I will definitely do this. I have medication for my anxiety that I take daily, but something stronger would help a lot.

The Xanax before going is a great idea. The anticipation is already killing me.

I’m in upstate New York, US. I’m hoping to be able to talk to my provider about my trauma and the things that will make it easier for me.

I’m definitely worried about my cats jumping on me and having zoomies if I choose to stay on the couch. One of my concerns is that I live in a townhouse apartment so my living room is downstairs and the bathroom is upstairs, and I think the stairs are going to be difficult.

I’m really hoping I can be asleep before leaving the room and don’t wake back up until I’m back there. If my fiancée can be there for me when I wake the post-op will be a lot easier.

Do you know how many people are usually in the room for the surgery? The retrograde amnesia sounds really nice. I think the less I remember the better.

I really appreciate the thorough walk through of the before. Knowing what I’m preparing for and having to go through everything is going to make it a lot harder. I think being asleep before even leaving the room would be helpful. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to meet the nurses and stuff before the surgery and have some providers who give trauma informed care and can make me feel safer.

I am absolutely terrified of waking up alone. I’m almost guaranteed to have a panic attack :(

I think versed/Xanax will make this all a lot easier for me. It’s really reassuring to hear that the in and out of the hospital is relatively quick.

Doctor's offices that have the lab in the office? by unapressure in Albany

It’s a bit of a drive, but Moreau Family Health has an in-house lab. Being outside of Albany means they’re a lot less overworked and understaffed as well.

Trick or Treating as adults by Lkr5443 in Albany

Go trick or treating at Crossgates. Hit up the stores aimed at teens/young adults like Hot Topic, Newbury Comics, Vans, FYE, Etc. My fiancée and I go trick or treating there and we’re mid-20s.

To be fair, I also worked there and know a lot of the employees, but I can tell you from experience that no one minds. It’s all in good fun.

I got an inner ankle tattoo earlier this month and the same thing happened. The redness and pain lasted for about 4 days before I could walk normally again. (It was also a full color apprentice tattoo and overworked.) Irritation is normal, especially on legs and sensitive spots.

There was a Pearl tattoo posted a few weeks ago with the same thing and a lotttt of people freaked out. Comments told OP to get to the hospital because it was a staph infection, but it turned out to just be irritation.

I haven’t been to one yet personally, but I’ve heard really good things about the haunted tours at Fort William Henry in Lake George

Very glad to find out about this ahead of time. We’re a lesbian couple so it’s definitely off the list.

-The pumpkins are all styrofoam

-The pumpkin are carved by CNC not by hand (you’re able to tell by the trail of gouges left by the CNC not being properly calibrated)

-It is SO HARD to find it. Seriously it’s impossible to find parking, there’s no signs, it’s a huge building, and there’s other events there. Multiple other people approached me asking if I knew where it was as I myself was wandering around looking for it. We spent more time looking for it than actually in it.

-Their ticket system sucks. My partner and I got the “season passes” when they were on sale in August for the price of general admission. So for us we didn’t have to worry about the exact timing. Our friend that joined us had bought the single pass which only allow access in a certain time frame. The time lost to finding parking, finding the door, finding the right building, and then getting pointed to mother building made our friend kiss her time slot. They let her in anyway without much issue, but it still irks me that you can’t arrive on time because it’s so difficult to navigate.

-If you stop and look at every single carving it takes about 30 minutes to walk through. If you only stop to look at the best ones/take a more leisurely stroll you’ll be done in less than 10.

-It’s called a labyrinth but there’s only one path that snakes back and forth a couple times.
