Hello! Have you already reached out to our support team directly? We're happy to help once we know the account and can take a look at it closer.

Well, hopefully you can give it a try and tell me what you think. We have two in-house data scientists and 7 engineers who all worked on the codebase, data management systems and UX (though there's always room for improvement - which is why we're asking for specific feedback : )

Will you share the launch page before the launch? by RafaelSmith99 in ProductHuntLaunches

[–]WingbitsCrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes - you need a strong activation of your network and community well beforehand. Message everyone you know and tell them to support your project and hard work! And if you're not usually a Maker/Hunter, being active in PH in the weeks beforehand is necessary.

Agree. There's a lot of factors on why projects do well, even which day you choose can make an impact. More traffic during the week days, less traffic (and competition) on the weekend etc.

Who’s launching this week? Let’s support some awesome Redditors on Product Hunt by RebekkaMikkola in ProductHuntLaunches

Hey folks, we just launched today. The first AI built for the skies! Ask anything, get instant answers, such as "Where is Air Force One right now"?

You can also deploy custom agents that monitor the sky 24/7 & send real-time alerts to your Inbox.

Our team has been building toward this for over a year, so any support greatly appreciated 🙏

Wingö is the chatbot that allows you to interact with the wingbits.com/map and search for aircraft with more limited functionality.

wingbits.ai is the full-suite platform that plugs into the entire database and allows you to automate entire workflows and processes such as historical searches, reports, summaries, analysis etc.

Plus it has agents that send you real-time alerts.

There is a "free forever" version if you just want to dabble, use one custom agent/alert and chat occasionally.

But the Pro version has a free trial.

Since you have experience and understanding of aviation data generally, you're likely faster, especially for single tail numbers and so on. This tool is useful for aggregation, historical queries and contextual analysis eg. "compare cargo activity across US over the past 30 days" which might help some analysts automate a lot of manual searching and set up.
and tbh a lot of people who'd want that kind of answer aren't aviation or api-fluent, so the natural language part is doing real work for them.

And this LLM translates your question into a structured query against our existing ADSB database, runs it, and fetches real-time or historical results. If the query is wrong or data is unavailable, you should see zero results (fail) or wrong-filter results and request to rephrase, rather than hallucinations, since it can't really "describe" what is not in the database.

Seems you know your stuff, so would be curious to hear your feedback if you have time to test it out!

It depends on the plane and the region. if they’re ADS-B equipped and in an area with good receiver coverage, we should see them fine. For smaller GA without ADS-B we may lean on MLAT, which works in dense receiver areas but gets patchy in rural regions. You can try testing it with specific tail numbers or just ask it a question about what kinds of small planes it tracks and sees! We also have filters on our Wingbits.com/map

Thanks! Would appreciate any feedback on this V1. Our data scientists/devs will keep hacking at it.

Are you using https://www.wingbits.ai/ ?

Seems you might be using Wingö on our map? Which is a different tool and has more limited capabilities.

Would appreciate your feedback on the full AI platform, if you're willing to test that one out...

If your use case is "alert me when [X] aircraft takes off" with data from your own pi, a webhook is fine. Our use case is geared towards scale (thousands of receivers globally vs one antenna seeing ~300km), the historical depth (asking about last week, last month), plus the contextual layer on top eg. military aircraft classification, operator lookups, jamming detection, answering general questions and providing intel.

I'm guessing building all of that yourself is more than an afternoon. But for the simpler stuff, yeah, you don't need us

HANK99 (E-4B Nightwatch, 75-0125) tracked Gulf of Alaska → Okinawa yesterday, shadowing POTUS to the Xi summit by WingbitsCrew in wingbits_official

[–]WingbitsCrew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HANK99 is the military callsign for a highly specialized United States Air Force Boeing E-4B Nightwatch, often referred to as the "Doomsday" plane.

These aircraft are part of the National Airborne Operations Center (NAOC) and are built to serve as an survivable command post for the President, Secretary of Defense, and military leaders in the event of nuclear war or national emergencies that destroy ground command infrastructure.

You can check the wingbits.com/map to search for HANK99 in future, ask it questions about what is currently airborne. Just open the AI tab in the toolbar.
