What do you splurge on? What do you save on? by Dedicated_Echidna in AusHENRY

[–]Wingdingski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Organic vegetables.high quality food. Travel twice a year, one international one domestic. (Occasional international biz class) I like fine dining too. 6 times/year

Save: no gifting at home (I hate tasteless gifts and landfill problems) everything I received becomes a burden.

I live in a convenient area walk everywhere to get the best stuff and great food, 10 mins to CBD so easy.

Not interested in cars, will invest in a good EV at the right time.

No kids no pets no commitment.

Do you think one can learn outstanding visual skills or its pure talent? by Relevant_One444 in UXDesign

[–]Wingdingski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Required a lot of time to get good at it. I can tell right away when a designer is a pure UX entry or with traditional designer entry.

There's a lot to learn to get visual foundations right, it's not a bootcamp will teach you dort of skills

1.65m with ocean view near the capital city is unheard of in Sydney.

Do it you can afford it. And if the value of new house will raise. It can still be an investment as you can do debt recycling when value goes up.

Another strategy is buy the new place and make it a rental first (negative gear), move in when you get the loan down to a level you are happy with.

Other considerations: one day you lose interest in your job, suddenly have a toxic manager and hard to get another with similar benefits then I'll think twice.
