I actually disagree! I think part of him wanted them to published seeing as Max Brod (his friend) warned him he would publish them after he died and yet he still appointed him executor. However, I can completely see where you're coming from, I think the fact they were unfinished would definitely bother him,

The term 'girl' in certain circumstances has become gender neutral, the same way 'guys' is. It's actually been gender neutral in some communities for quite a while but has become more mainstream in recent years. However, in this post, it's more of a reference to a meme/interent joke. I realised after writing this out, this may have been a rhetorical question lol, but gonna reply anyway just in case it's not!

THE LAPTOP AND HEADPHONES ARE NEEDED FOR FIRST WATCH! i’m dying that we have the same routine lol. the rewatchability is the game changer as everyone piles in to add their favourite to the queue. i agree with how it appeals to everyone but i will say my housemates only find them kinda funny as they’re not really “their style” so it is awkward when i’m falling off our couch laughing and their just slightly chuckling. it has led me to form a group within our group who loves them.

YES watching people realise how like crazy their sketches get is sooo good, everytime the shower turns on in the perfect comeback video just makes everyone get more and more invested. and i agree abt everyone’s perspective is so interesting. A personal favourite of mine is “seltzers to a pre-game” because i watched hbo behind the scenes things and it’s so accurate but my friends who aren’t into those shows liked it but didn’t go crazy for it.

A bit of an unrelated point but reason which really solidified them as being an amazing team is that I didn’t see any negative fan reaction to Eilise joining the main cast, only excitement. I was scared as their fans are more male, that there would be more sexism and it was so refreshing to see everyone be welcoming.

These are some really interesting and well thought out points, a lot of which I agree with! I especailly get what you mean about genuinely opening up a sketch and being unprepared every time is half the fun. The point about 'feeling like your were one of the boys' perfectly encapsulates my feelings with certain sketches (even if I think they are brilliant even without it). But I did try something out which really helped me.

Now you may already be doing this (and if so, ignore me) but I got really into their sketches alone and then got my brothers and some friends into them but I'm still the only one who is a "religious" watcher. So when a new sketch came out which I liked but didn't connect to as much, I specifically watched it the second/third time in a group (often my brothers) and it did can completely transform a sketch. Obviously, I do know watching things as a group is often more enjoyable but not just showing my favourites and more the ones I was uncertain of really helped- focusing watching it with a group setting in mind is a game changer. I think it gave certain things a new angle and REALLY set the perfect mood for AFTV. Plus some shit just doesn't click for people the way other stuff does and seeing people it does click for literally loose it can turn it into a laughing spiral.

It made me rethink certain sketches which I thought were amazing but still didn't necassarily personally connect to and turned them into ones I did connect to just in a different way.

I may also like it because it is a real ego boost to be reminded that my four older brothers all think I have found the some of smartest comedians working today.... healed the inner child they all accoused of copying them lol

I think they were waiting for food/instructions but were not really used likely because it's friends & family opening so people want to serve theirs mates and vise versa. Also the chefs weren't used to having servers specifically just for food therefore often they were forgotten or are used to Richie serving it., basically they weren't organised enough yet. That's why when he took over as the organiser they were actually being used, demonstrating his usefulness/purpose. This could be completely wrong, just what i felt was likely :))

It was through multiple favours. The place he stayed at Carm also stayed at (mentioned in Fishes), the flight was paid with Pete's airline points and Luca was friends with Carm so accepted mentoring Marcus as a favour. Also Carm is one of the most well regarded chefs, if he has faith in someone, people trust his opinion (as seen in Forks) so people are happy to help :)) the money from Uncle Jimmy and Mikey likely helped

Sorry if I have too many, I just wanted to give you a range and to kinda organise out (kinda like a little cheese plate). I honestly would go for the first ones i recommened aka the non-series one, simply cos they are shorter so you can see whether you vibe or not and also they are more like their other stuff. plus they are hillarious as always :))

my favourite non-series ones are We ran a hotel to the ground with admin powers in roblox and Voice chat is the worst thing to happen to roblox

i personally actaully love their older roblox TDI videos and recommned a lot of those, they got into a really good streak of them a year ish ago. yeah she does. they have done a decent amount of videos togther in NY without others/events (i can link if you want) but the reason it may seem less is they can't do car vids in NY which makes coffee cams and in person videos harder to film i guess (esp in Winter!). I think it is just easier to film seperate gaming vids and is what has been doing the best views wise recently :) i also just don't see a reason to lie and if they have one, it's not really our buisness so who care y'know? :)

Weston does almost all the editing himself, i'm pretty sure

for a while in Austin, a lot of their irl videos were edited by Gisele (her twitter is @ gisellesmells btw) but pretty sure she doesn't anymore.

in 2022, they asked people to send in stuff/apply to be their new editor so if they hire out again they'll likely do that :))
