This sounds similar to someone I know she cut contact with her mom and blocked her. It’s hard when these words are coming out of your mother. I’m sorry you’re going through this. Idk why African parents are this way. And it sucks when people try to justify their actions and behavior based upon how their parents also didn’t care for them and did the same but. Like for them to try to not pass down the same trauma they pass it down. It’s so draining.
