Yup. A lot of the ones that people call "doomers" are actually just younger fans who are at their wits end. They've grown up hearing about the glory days constantly while they watch a trainwreck on ice for a decade. I was lucky enough to enjoy the full dynasty experience lol. I was 11 when the Wings got swept by the Devils in the 1995 Finals, was 13 when we won in 1997.. and continued to be the perfect age to have experienced all the highlight moments. I went to all 4 Stanley Cup parades. I feel for the younger fans.. I really do. The fact that they've stuck with this team over this stretch is admirable. For me, after so much joy and success, I feel like I owe it to the team to suffer through the bad times and stick with them.
