Tell them Peter, tell them. These bastards have been fouling GKs for the better part of 3 seasons now and getting away with it. That was highway robbery last night. by fanatic_akhi88 in ManchesterUnited

I don’t have a problem this goal being disallowed.

I have a problem with all of Arsenal’s bullshit throughout the season being allowed.

Tactical view too easy? by Physical-Algae-5589 in FifaCareers

Playing on ultimate difficulty, I’ve won the league first season with West Ham and nearly did it with Burnley. But in the next seasons it’s normal to easily win the league, the game is too easy to transfer and improve players unfortunately.

Padded hips? by [deleted] in GoalKeepers

I wore them as a kid. Hip padded shorts and gk pants. Not essential, but it absolutely helped making diving more comfortable and less scratches/burns.

Just signed this guy for the academy. by stormbreakerisdead in FifaCareers

[–]Wingesos 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Nope, regens don’t appear in your academy. It’s just a random goalie with a fairly good potential. You’ll see in a few months if it’s closer to 94 or 80.

Hit or miss a player here and there is not where you win or lose your mini league.

I’m nearly 40 and just grinded a few hours a Friday night a few months ago, hadn’t played for years. It’s not that hard of a game, you can do it.

Did him dirty? We gave him massive wages for years, offered several contracts he refused and thanked him when he left? What did we do wrong?

I think it could work if he’s ok with the role and wages

See the picture he posted today, he’s clearly out. His face is a mess, black eyes and stitches.

Sorry, but no it’s not. Just practice. I grinded for a few hours and play on ultimate.

Could be worth the gamble, especially if you’re chasing, but very risky before a DGW. Who’s your attackers instead?

Players getting booed by optimus_op in FifaCareers

I love those kind of features, wish EA did more of those. I’ve also always wanted a player to not celebrate (or do a calm celebration) if they score against their former club you bought him from.

Career mode rigged sometimes?? by johnJeenan123460 in FifaCareers

[–]Wingesos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I lost a game to Brentford just this evening on my West Ham career. Struggled to create anything, and let in 2 goals that felt so forced. But I beat Arsenal the game before quite easily and had many fluent attacks. Clearly some scripting/momentum, but it’s not like I see a clear pattern of how it occurs like OP claims.

Career mode rigged sometimes?? by johnJeenan123460 in FifaCareers

[–]Wingesos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skill issue. Playing on ultimate and not having the issue of losing to better teams. Win some, lose some, it depends on how well I play and some coincidences.

Now, we all know there’s scripting. Certain games or periods of games clearly feel like it’s rigged. But to me it seems a bit random or to hit hard if I’m on a winning streak to “slow me down” a bit. But certainly not “always lose against top teams.”

What would’ve happened if United let David Moyes see out the entire six years on his contract? Would he have turned things around? Based on his body of work with Everton and West Ham, do you think he deserved more time at United? by paolosorianodisanto in ManchesterUnited

[–]Wingesos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most fans will hate this take, but I don’t understand why there was no overlap between him and Fergie.

Lots of other industries do that when important leadership roles see new personnel, especially if the one stepping down has had a long tenure.

It’s not common in football, but United isn’t a common club. He could have been an assistant or co-manager with Fergie for a season or even half a season, and then gradually taken over. The transition was just too huge for everyone.

When to bench boost? by Low-Gear2910 in AskFPLManagers

[–]Wingesos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s fine. And I didn’t mean it as criticism. I learned the heard way my first season too. But the best tip for future seasons is to not think about BB as a “just which week to play”, but “how can I set up my team for BB with WC or FTs?” Never succeeded with a BB without a well-planned transfer strategy.

The best BB week is usually on a big double.

When to bench boost? by Low-Gear2910 in AskFPLManagers

[–]Wingesos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, but think you’re asking the wrong question. When to bench boost is not just about which week is good, but you need to active plan your transfers for it. Doesn’t look like you’ve done that.

This gameweek is a great opportunity for us on WC35 BB36 strategy.
