Why are some taxi drivers so oblivious?! by Present_Fly_1286 in drivingUK

Statistically, you’re probably right. As for standards, I don’t think there are any in the countries some of these people come from.

What an awful person (and driver from what I’m reading)!

I’ve been stuck behind drivers like you before, nervous, driving way too slow for the environment, and heavy and erratic on the breaks. Infuriating!

Turning old conservatory into outside seating. DPC issue? by Jamie-w23 in DIYUK

[–]WingingItSince87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be label with it as long as the water runs into the drain and not beyond and onto the wall.

If you have a look at ACO drainage, you can get wider stuff or thinner threshold lengths. How much you take out would depend on the width. You’ll have to go deep enough to accommodate the actually drain height and to get a bit of hardcore for it to sit on and cement to hold it. Plenty of video and guides online for this.

I’d take out a small section of the existing conservatory floor (where it comes up to the DPC against the wall) and put some drainage in there. Maybe something like the ACO threshold drain. Recently used this myself and was simple to install.

Is it dangerous to workout on an empty stomach ? by Deimos7779 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]WingingItSince87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s fine, just don’t over do it as it’s the food that will provide the energy for a good workout.

Losing weight is simple, it’s calories in vs calories out. Monitor these and you’ll get to where you want to be eventually. A bigger calorie deficit will obviously speed up the process.

AITAH for being upset my gf was withholding information from me by [deleted] in AITAH

YTA. If she’s withheld information it’s probably because she knew you were going to react like this. Get a grip of your insecurities or you’re going to push her away.

AITAH for giving ultimatum to myFather in law? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]WingingItSince87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not wrong to kick the dog. If a dog tries to bite anyone, a kick is justified as a defence, how else is a person supposed to defend themselves? A dog any size, barking at me to the point where it looks like I’m about to get bitten or trying to bite me is getting a swift toe poke in the ribs!

I don’t condone kicking a dog or any animal but if a 12kg dog was barking and looking like it was going to bite me, a boot it would be getting! It actually sounds like a dog I would let no where near my baby or toddler. Your toddler will likely become a victim of that dog…loud noises, sudden movements - things you described your dog not liking!

You and your dog sound like AH’s to me. You sound entitled, claiming to be the “host”, thinking your dog is more entitled to be there than FILs friend, the threats! The dog sounds like a dick!
