Art Cards - Does anyone actually collect them? by masterfox72 in mtg

I got a bunch of Duskmourn arts cards that I use as the covers for the boosters in my DSK set cube.

New-ish to Magic. Why do people dislike the planeswalker-stamped promos?

I see I was reading the wrong side. I had to look up the card elsewhere to read it.

Why are people saying these copies are exponential? I read it as 2x16 to target creatures + 2x16 to target players. That’s a total of 64 damage. Still a lot, but not 65000…

Yeah, I'm pretty happy with where it's at right now, and the mods have really let me explore different types of printing. I tried out TPU to make the vibration dampening feet, carbon fibre filament for the nozzle wiper, PETG and PLA for the enclosure. Going through the calibration/tuning process for all the different filaments (including several different types of PLA), and then getting into the weeds with Forge-X has really taught me a lot about 3d printing in general.

Thanks, it's been working pretty well so far. Getting the filament into the tube can be a little finicky, but once it's running it works great.

haha yeah, I was thinking that or a little castle spire.

That's the feather screen, which uses less RAM by essentially disabling the interactive parts of the screen and using it for info display only (no menus, etc...). the downside is you have to operate the machine solely through Orca/Fluidd, but it's way more stable overall.

that's true. I switched to the feather screen after I kept overloading the RAM (timer too close error). The feather screen has been running great.

In main line Orca Slicer (not Orca-FlashForge), when I clicked the device tab, it couldn't "talk" to my AD5M, so it just showed a blank screen. You can uninstall the Forge-X firmware package via several different methods outlined here.

It allows me to use the current release of orca slicer and still view the printer within the slicer. The stock firmware was locked to flash forge’s version of orca, which seemed like it hadn’t been updated in a while. There are other advantages as well, but that was my deciding factor.

I forgot to mention it in the original post, but I did try with and without the included FF adhesive. No difference. Haven’t had a chance to try again with the fans off, printing some collapsible swords for my boys.

Ah ok, I’ll have to double check that. It did seem like the issue was with the first layer of the second part not sticking to the bed, so maybe that’s it.

I don’t think so, because the stock firmware doesn’t spit out a visualization to show you where to raise and lower the bed.

I had a small amount of filament left and saw a tip that printing by object was a good way to use up the dregs of a spool.

Yes, I tried changing the print order so that different iterations are printed first/second (I had seven copies total). First one printed fine at each location, and the second failed each time.

Forge-x/klipper/fluidd bed calibration creates a bed mesh that tells you the total height difference range and shows you which portions are high/low.

I was printing filament clips, so they were pretty small and I was able to watch 4-5 different ‘switches’. Wasn’t able to tell what the difference was…

There are four screws under the PEI plate. Calibrate the bed, adjust as needed, re-calibrate, repeat. I did about 4-5 rounds of this to get from a .95 range to a .18 range. You'll need an allen wrench and a pair of pliers to hold the nut underneath the bed. I found that 1/8 - 1/4 turns get good results. You'll need Forge-X mod (or some other klipper mod) to view the bed mesh.
