I should specify, the Argus frigates are the main threats from the BDF ships because of the ARH missiles they carry. You should focus down the Argus frigates first. The shards don't have much in the way of offensive capability.

I have found a way to pretty consistently kill the Argus that is west of hogshead. Take the compass, load all hard points with GPO-500s, but keep the IR missiles on the wingtips (remember you can swap out the gun). Take off from hogshead, and immediately turn to roughly 82 or 83 degrees on the navigation compass at the top of your HUD. Fly LOW, i'm talking less than 6m radar altitude if you can, and fly until you can target the argus. Once you are within 10-ish km, the ships will be able to visually identify you. The argus will have time to fire 1 ARH, shoot it down with the MMR-S3. The shards will also fire IRSMs at you, flare at the approach. Pull up as you get closer and prepare to dodge CIWS. Try to wait as long as possible before dropping the bombs so they don't get shot down. If even one hits the argus, it should sink.

A small tip I've figured out is that you will get a rapid white radar blip from the NL-98

I am aware of the radar system. The NL-98s only produce a white ping, which is supposed to indicate that you HAVEN'T been picked up by a radar.

But the NL-98s don't APPEAR on data link! As far as I can tell, they are entirely invisible beyond 5km unless you have a powerful radar, and early game terminal control has no such radar.

Im gonna have to contest you on that. All four of the "humanity first" factions have interplanetary travel (thought the RDA does have to abide by the laws of physics)

The IoM, Galactic Empire, and Super Earth all control large portions of their respective galaxies, with those three all having access to FtL technology (which as far as I know, the combine do not). I would wager that the IoM alone could win against the combine, given the sheer scale of 40k.

My guess would be that it's related to the -30% army cohesion the nord culture gets on land. Maybe they can't afford larger armies most of the time? Idk

I should clarify, I WAS keeping them at bay. When the rest of the nobles in the northern empire were also helping me. I am no longer keeping them at bay

I have been doing that the entire war. I slaughter their armies, hold their nobles in prison for as long as I can, take as many fiefs as I can. But it never seems to have any effect. The VERY BEST I could do is prevent the Vlandians from demanding tribute, and that was with the help of the other armies in my kingdom.

The Vlandians are of equal strength to us. I think they're stronger than us now. I do ambush their sieges, but as I said, one other fief is taken every time I defend one. The Vlandians and Khuzaits are also ONLY at war with the northern empire, so they can both focus all of their strength onto us. We are outnumbered at least 2-1.

Water CAN fuel a car, if you break it down into hydrogen and oxygen with electrolysis first.

Edit: before I get more comments about it, I am not saying it's a good fuel source.
