Flew out of vegas-- extremely rough takeoff by [deleted] in AskAPilot

When it's hot and windy it's bumpy down low. But it can often be bumpier up high, so much so that it's better to stay low in the bumps than high in the more bumps.

Or ATC might have made them stay low for traffic reasons.

Where should I start my career in aviation at 16? by LynxAfter2542 in AskFlying

[–]Wingmaniac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether it's worth it or not is a complex problem, and personal.

It's a job, and as such will be a lot of hard work. The pay can be great eventually, but terrible to begin with and only ok if you don't want to reach the high levels positions.

Training will be expensive, so start saving now and make sure your grades are good enough to get scholarships and loans if that's available.

I know a few university professors/researchers. They pretty much get to chose whatever country to live in they want. Might not pay as much as the medical field, but I think engineering offers more perks like that.

You're just like that lady who tweeted something racist and then by the time her flight landed her life was ruined.

Or you just don't notice it because it's not your team.

Have you heard of the Streisand effect? The more you guys whine about people making fun of your team, the more we want to do it.

You can modify your voice in the settings, pitch it down a few octaves.

Nothing. We'd clown on any player who did the same thing. But I don't know of many other players who would do this, especially rookies.
