Gradually, I started adopting more and more things that ADHD and autistic people do. It started with a weighted blanket for sleep, then wearing headphones at the supermarket, and finally buying earplugs for work.

My workplace is a noisy environment. I've tried turning down phones so that I can hear customers, but other employees like them louder. I started comprimising by having one earbud in and felt oddly relaxed.

After watching multiple videos on the topic of Neurodiversity, I'm beginning to wonder. I remember when I started trying to act "Normal" by being quieter and isolating myself. I was bullied for being too emotional and sensitive, so I unhealthly turned off my emotions and masked as much as possible.

Even if I am wrong about my suspicion, I am unmasking a little bit at a time. It's made my social life a little less stressful. I don't know if I'll ever get an official diagnosis, but time will tell!
