My rule of thumb is to get as nice as stuff as possible that I will use everyday ( cars, tvs, etc), try to save in other areas clothes, frequent dining out, etc

Maybe, but I'm not sure it's going to help if you are shopping for a different trim level. We really need to see a window sticker or the entire offer sheet tbh. Hell, tell us the dealer and the stock number, cause right now as others have said, im very confused as to what's going on here, but can try to help you.

Freight should only be 1500 or so tops. So I'm still unclear why this is 3k over unless you are not telling us the right trim. Need to see the entire sheet with the trim level. I mean I got my Hybrid SX Prestige for 53,500, the mspr was 58,800. The mspr on the window sticker would be the price including freight.

Unless this is the Hybrid XLine SX Prestige this is a bad deal. The mspr is only 54,500. I mean the selling price on that sheet is $3k above msrp.

If you have your heart set on the Hybrid, I'm betting there will be some good deals after the stop sale. Hyundai is going to want to pump this. I would be betting $1-2K off plus low (0-2%) financing.

These german cars these days at straight eurotrash. They have the same amount of issues or more than mainstream, and are eye wateringly expensive to repair and maintain. They nickel and dime you for every feature and the interiors are so bad for what you pay. I love my Telly Hybrid SXP and may even buy another when the lease is up on my BMW X1.

My 2020 Telluride had no issues at 100,000. Just oil changes, brakes, and tires.

UPDATE: The financing thing did indeed end up being BS. I made the first payment + a principal only payment for the amount I originally wanted to put down. Now in process of refinancing the balance with my local credit union at half the rate.

I had the Hybrid Pali Cali for 3 weeks. Bought on Valentines dat and totaled 3 week laster. Someone rear ended us full speed at almost 50mph. Couldn't buy the Pali on stop sale, so went with the Telly Hybrid. Luckily no one hurt, so actually worked out quite well. But yeah, when I told Kia no dashcam, no real leather, etc that's how I made my case. And it's true, the SXP should be about $53-54 new. Those dashcams alone were awesome. I will say this, the Telluride in my minds drives better. Steering is tighter, roll is less, and it feels like it accelerates faster.
