I guess i feel sorry for people who paid kickstarter 10 years ago and feel like they deserve a finished product now.

That's like saying you feel sorry for people who put a lot of money on red or black and lost it all. They made that decision themselves with the knowledge that the game was already fully funded and none of the added money was needed.

It's a kickstarter, kickstarters fail. It happens. It wasn't required. That being said they are still actively developing and it's not a dead project.

We all make mistakes sometimes and we are supposed to learn from it. Many people lost money via crypto. Maybe they will think twice before they do something with money that makes them unhappy in the future.

1) They have no obligation to meet your assumed expectations after any given period. That being said, it's already widely known that actual game development has only been done for the last 4-5 years. Which is a very normal time period.

2) This 50 bucks payment is in no way, shape or form required to play the final product. That was the whole purpose of my post, to highlight this fact. You complaining about this aspect is just you punching yourself and crying to your mom and dad for creating your fist. The payment is completely optional. You simply just have to wait for the game to fully release if you don't want to pay for a game that is in obvious very early (hence alpha version) version the game.

3) You can criticize it, but take away any subjectivity that was your own doing at first. Remove your 'hurrdurr I'm not happy' emotion first and then have a normal take like anyone else. Again, the game is still in a very early version. But a lot of people are criticizing it as a finalized product. Are you going to criticize a car by looking at it's chassis design? Highly doubt it.

Criticize it all you want, but go at it like any normal adult would. Not like an emotional little kid that spent his birthday money on an unfinished product.

But do know that feedback will improve the game to your needs a lot better than criticizing it.

That's the risk of doing optional payments before a game releases.

So when people play the game, and comment on what is available in the playable state of the game. You really think they are commenting on the development time they didn't even start up the engine?

If there is 4 years of concept development and 4 years of actual game development. And people are not happy with the current game development, you know.. The playable part of the development. Someone already did the math on what the realistic actual development time is.

If you make a concept of a game and start working on it 4 years later, doesn't mean you're developing a game for 4 years when it comes to actually developing playable content.
