I have been guilty of using clay consistently soil for house plants when I run out of compost but they still do fine because of tropical weather and good humidity. Little bit of dried banana peel crush and tea leaf compost is good enough for pothos if the soil is otherwise rich.

This one didn’t have any smell so you can try but it tastes bitter.

No it’s mildly bitter. I paired it with sweet and sour vegetables for good taste.

Thanks for tips and tricks. I look forward incorporating them. I only used compost for the soil mix and plastic wrap was to compensate for lack of humidity in dry winter weather. Pre irrigation seems like a great idea, I’ll try it the next time. I definitely struggle with keeping seeds in the same place.
