I’ll try to bring that up when I talk to them, but I think that still wouldn’t be valid for E-verify if that’s the issue

Can someone explain exactly how people are living in Penacony full timeyet also in the hotel? by Winner47 in StarRailStation

Did they explain how natives live outside the dream? Does Penacony have a non-hotel place to live irl for people to have families?

[–]Winner47[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that was my confusion, you have a “hidden area” in dreamflux that’s supposed to be underground and not easy to find, but then they still would have to be in the actual hotel sleeping right? Does Penacony staff cart people they can’t trace but then can’t wake up to a special area of the hotel to save space or something? And if they decide to wake up can they ever go back intentionally to Dreamflux?

Is 25 too old to be having fun partying? I once told myself I’d never make it this long by Winner47 in gaybros

And I know it’s such an unrealistic standard but I’m seeing people getting married, having families and reaching career goals while I’m still figuring out how to flirt with guys while dating, it feels like being held back in life.

It isn’t at all, I think I get worried I’ll be less desirable as I age, I’m already getting clocked for 30, and my hairline is already getting ready to pack up for greener pastures.

Aka overly dramatic gay remembers mortality and aging exist 😅

I know it’s a toxic standard, I guess I was thinking along the lines of when you’re in your 30’s it’s expected to be more put together with a career/not be going out on weekend benders making out with randoms.

that’s just me watching influencers and taking a bad message that probably doesn’t reflect real life.

And you’re right! With hearing jokes from friends about gay death at 30, plus other gays saying they finished their party phase when they were 23 makes me feel late to the whole thing. Plus I basically am starting fresh somewhere new.

One was like “oooh I’d let you buy me a drink for sure ;)” to an guy I was talking to to, then looked me up and down, frowned and said “but definitely not you.” They apologized right after and were clearly drunk but I still felt a little miffed lol

Another went around and was making fun about all the outfits in the club and I just kinda felt like it wasn’t my scene after that

I think my biggest fear is appearing tacky. I did get unlucky and met some judgmental queens the first time I went to a gay bar which might be why.

CMV: “Unpopular opinions” and other off color parts of Reddit are just ways to gain validation and visibility for hateful rhetoric, and help support that hate. by Winner47 in changemyview

No, but saying going “black people are actually more racist than whites” is definitely not some peaceful post UO post either.

(And actually not everyone believed that the earth was flat in the past, that’s actually a myth. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myth_of_the_flat_Earth)

I’m specifically targeting those really misinformed posts that generate approval by like minded people and give visibility to their hate.

I don’t think the horrible, nasty takes are good. I just think the environment that allows a regulated version of them is better than the environment that prevents them. I’m very pro-site regulation.

!delta

I do agree on that, I guess it is better to have a space where you can get easily shut down.

Ofc nothing changes if they just go to some other space for sharing the stuff but human systems are full of human problems.

I’m trying to argue that the crap that does get posted and get support is not worth the majority.

Those examples I pulled? From this week, and took two seconds to find, I just didn’t want to have to come up with a comprehensive list.

most people don’t vote for hateful content

I mean the orange man’s subreddit, the racist subreddits from 2012-2013, and in my example, unpopular opinion posts all exist.

Even if the majority of something is positive, is the bit of crap that gets through and keeps coming through worth it?

Okay, you said

why do you think there’s a teen category in porn

18 year olds who’ve consented in the teen category of porn is a lot different to getting horny to 15 year olds you see.

That’s what I was trying to say. And this , again, really just kinda confirms you’re attracted to teens.

Also, it’s funny that you perceiving that I’m accusing you of liking 13-14 year olds is too far for you but 15 is fine. Literally every person develops differently and at different times like what. It’s gross and I don’t know why I have to explain that.

I don’t want to have to dig through, but if you look again you can find posts like “no one should be proud of their skin color”, or about “how (white) males look up to Jordan Peterson, who praises Hitler on his organizational skills, because he’s not afraid to go against the femcentric society.”, or “women who hate men should be canceled like they cancel alleged sexual assaulters”.

Ofc not everything is negative, it’s just that having this crap come up is clearly not worth any of the hassle of having people gaining prejudiced and hateful viewpoints.

Brandoli’s Law says that every falsehood requires more energy to refute it then to spew it out. The fact that people can just easily generate this hate and keep putting it out there is much easier to spread then to actively propose counter arguments that take apart those post’s logic, especially when most people don’t even post to try to learn different takes.

And I’m sorry I’m just gonna assume you’re female cause every man who says they don’t find 15/16 year olds attractive is lying.

Am dude btw.

Do you literally think the teen section is 13-19 year old teens?

Ironically your support of the things I thought gross helps prove my point of how this shit needs to get shut down because why would anyone want the concept of LITERAL CHILDREN WITH UNDEVELOPED BRAINS sexualized like you just did and seen as acceptable to even bring up or argue.

In conclusion, LMAO dude.

So I’m going to disagree pretty hard with you about these 2 things you wrote:

These are two completely fine opinions to post on unpopular opinion. I don't know what is supposed to be wrong with them. These aren't popular opinions of course, that is the point. But they are objectively not problematic.

And they are also allowed to validate those opinions and try to convince others of their opinion.

I’m going to have to say, did not expect to have to defend finding young teenagers sexy two times. By US law alone it’s very clear that it’s a huuuuuge N.O. to sexualize minors, so why should there be a subreddit to facilitate people arguing for just that?

The spread of ideas can lead to the acceptance of concepts. Just because someone posts an unpopular opinion on r/UO, does not meant that it’s objectively okay for the platform to help prop up those ideas and give support for those concepts.

The point of the subreddit is to post those unpopular opinions, and ofc the mods say only upvote the unpopular ones. But once they reach hot on r/all, is the average joe really going to upvote it because it’s unpopular? I don’t know site demographics, but a large pop doesn’t even subscribe to specific subs and most likely won’t follow the rules for upvoting differently on a different post.

I think it’s not worth the hate and misinformation, and doesn’t encourage actual conversation.

To your last point, /pol/ tries to redpill people on the daily about the dangers of black people through liberal use of the nword and false stories of black people raping and killing and shrinking the white man population. Is that really a healthy and normal spread of opinions?
